INVITE: Meet me in San Francisco this Thursday at Rand + Statler!

Looks like I am heading back home to the west coast, but this time, SAN FRANCISCO!! I am beyond excited! I’m flying across the country with Modern Vice to host yet another amazing night before a Christmas spent at my family’s home in LA. This time, our event is at the one and only, Rand and Statler, the beautiful San Fran store right there on Hayes Street. I am in love with it. They’re the perfect west coast store to carry all of the “Natalie + Dylana Suarez x Modern Vice” JETTS (and yes, in all the bright colors for Spring as well!)! We’ve also got a Spring, west coast, campaign coming your way. Shooting in this city I’ve been dreaming is going to be amazing!

What: Modern Vice event at Rand and Statler store, San Francisco
When: Thursday, December 20th (6-9pm)
Where: 425 Hayes Street
            San Francisco, CA

This event is open to the public so just rsvp, and feel free to bring a guest or two! We’ll also be giving away BENNIS + JETTS, while introducing you to a few sneak previews into our upcoming styles, all handmade right here in the NYC Modern Vice factory!

I’m excited to finally meet my San Francisco readers!

Factory Party 2012!

This may have been the best night in NYC to date!! We’re talking dancers, magicians, jewelry by the amazing Andy Lifschutz, and of course the special musical surprises. The whole secret was that I was hitting the stage with the one and only Gambles, aka Matthew Daniel Siskin! We rock n’ rolled to classics by Fleetwood Mac, Cat Stevens, Bob Dylan, and of course, ended our set with some last minute Johnny Cash blues. It’s my first time performing in the city, and for hundreds of people! I went with a floor length Junim tie-dyed dress and necklace, vintage jett boots, and a curly vintage coat from Cloak! All the factory lights were changed to neon orange, the showroom became a disco ball, and I don’t think I’ve seen so many amazing people all in one place. Most importantly, I got to spend it with the ones I love. The Suarez sisters do it again. I don’t know what I’d do without Dylana, she’s my other half! A crazy video of the night and our performances to come!

Snuggle Up

(The Stolen Girlfriend’s Club coat, Zara scarf, Striped dress c/o T. J. Maxx holiday SCORE! campaign, Vintage plaid, Vanessa Mooney rings, Sienna Ray “Milfie” bag,“Natalie + Dylana Suarez x Modern Vice” JETT JODPHUR boots)
This giant mustard coat is my new love. The sleeves are a bit too long, the shoulders a bit too wide, but I love heavy, slouchy things in the winter. In between castings, I’m always throwing this baby on over multiple layers. Either I get called a muppet, or people ask to touch it hehe. A striped dress, a plaid shirt, I’m slowly getting in the holiday spirit! I scored this lil baby dress at T.J. Maxx, as part of their holiday SCORE! campaign…so awesome, considering I shot their Spain ad campaign just a few months ago. Talk about rad. I always find some sort of holiday gifts there as well, from candles to incredible things to deck out my apartment. All of the last minute holiday parties decked in tinsel, the smell of the Christmas trees lining the sidewalk…I love this time of year. Plus, we’re banging out new shoe designs at my boyfriend’s factory just before everyone’s off for the holidays! The JETT JODPHUR is a little something I wear when avoiding puddles and keeping the tootsies warm! They’re my pride and joy! Anyways, I’m enjoying these last few days in New York, before I’m back in LA (and San Fran!) for Christmas. It’s going to be wiiiild. Can’t wait to tell you what’s in store this next week…in west coast revelry.

Snowflakes on my Sweater

Behind the Scenes shooting DKNY with Carmen Chan of HIMYS

Much of my DKNY shoot was based around my actual life. Whether it be by my bedside at home, or a secret spritz while I’m on the go. In between shots I’d throw on this cozy Free People sweater as we were shooting on a snow day! The knit tassels hang low down the front, and I like to think of it as the gypsy blanket I can take anywhere with me. With a long velvet maxi, I felt most at home. I love giant loose layers, especially in the winter. I can’t wait to show you more images inside my DKNY shoot, for now, I can only show these little behind the scenes snaps, running in and out of my apartment clutching the pureDKNY rose scent.
