I shacked up at the gorgeous La Sultana, right on the lagoon of Oualidia in Morocco. It really is magical. There’s only 11 rooms, each is different, and each feels like a real home. Wooden doors, actual keys, and adorable little backyard patios overlooking the lush. We arrived as it was just about to rain and so spent the night cozying up by the fireplace until the slight storm passed. Even with the craziness and unexpected weather, I did get plenty of time to explore! From running down the long row of trees to the front gate like a little kid, to getting lost underground in the corridors. The staircases are lit by the mosaic lanterns and stones from the town cover the walls. I even escaped for a Moroccan massage and was left slathered in vanilla oils. It made me fall asleep like a baby. Honestly, this place makes you feel like a princess. I couldn’t find a better way to play pretend in this mystical land than in this long vintage dress. I thrifted it in the city for 5 bucks and though washing it turned my sink green, it’s one of those pieces that I’ll keep forever and ever. I just always wonder what kind of girl had it before me, and what adventures she took with it.
Lovely photos, and what a beautiful vintage dress! Sounds like such a magical trip.

Absolutely gorgeous Natalie!
Morocco sounds stunning to say the least. There’s something so exotic and faraway about the image that is conjured up by just the mere word Morocco. Say “Morocco” and I’m transported to a land in my imagination full of colorful tapestries and filled with the scents of delicious spices, all of which surrounds lush greenery and all sorts of lovely people. I first fell in love with Morocco watching the movie Casablanca; your images of Morocco have only rekindled that love!
La Saltana looks amazing and like everything I ever pictured Morocco to be. The landscape is so beautiful and those paths seem to lead off into dreams and hopes and all sorts of beautiful longings.
I love that your outfit fits in so perfectly with everything around you. That green dress is so charming and old-fashioned in the best sense of the word. Your brown leather jacket blends with the woodsy, earthy vibes around you while your bag is so perfectly traveleresque. Those cuffs add a nice touch while your boots are just perfection. I honestly don’t know how many times I’ve waxed poetic about the boots you and your sister created with Modern Vice. They are just beautiful.
Thanks for sharing Morocco with us through your eyes Natalie! <3

You know, sometimes it’s just wonderfully thinking that places like this DO exist–even if I’ve never been in person.
And there’s nothing like a recently rained-upon getaway. Adds a freshness of character you just can’t match.
These photos are beautiful. The place looks so dreamy and magical.(:
