Fresh Cut Flowers

(Wooden Ships sweater courtesy of Tilly Boutique, ModCloth dress, Bally Shoes)

Mmmm, the weekend is here! The days/weeks are going by so fast. Actually, life’s moving along sooo fast! Crazy I’m already 20. Thank you all for the birthday wishes! Means so much to me! I ended up having a little dinner gathering followed by some really amazing cake! And finally, I got to see The Social Network over at the movie theatre. I loved it so much. Not only do I think Jesse Eisenberg is a total and complete babe, but the film also had some really great acting. Who knew funky JT was so good at being a jerk?! Anyways, it had some pretty intense scenes that definitely requires your full attention. Really smart film that I’m dying to see again.

This is what I wore for my small birthday celebration! As you know, I love maxi dresses. This floral dress is like a breath of fresh air. I spotted it on Modcloth and knew I had to have it. I love the colors paired with a simple black pullover sweater and waist belt. Loose, cozy layers that are oh so perfect for fall. The temps are slowly going down as we near Thanksgiving! I am so ready!

Don’t forget to check out my interview with Modcloth here! 🙂

Big. Bad. Bra.

(Free People Bralette, Vintage blouse, Hudson Jeans)
One look that I’ve always loved is a fitted corset over a rugged tee. Instead of an actual corset, I recently got these bralettes from Free People that I find myself throwing on over sheer button-ups. There was a lot of this going on while shooting at the Free People studio in Philly. I definitely got inspired to try it out on my own! This one is one of my faves, but I got an array of colors. People did glance at my strangely at the grocery store… I mean, I am wearing a bra OVER my top, not something you see everyday. But I love the look, it’s something different to spruce up my boring old blouses.

Besides my little obsession with all things bra, things have been so crazy. Life’s been throwing me little surprises everyday. All I can say is I’m going to be working on some projects for the next coming year that I cannot wait to share with you all! It’s hard keeping so much to myself! But stay put, I’ve got a giveaway coming your way!

One more thing: tomorrow is my birthday. Yikes. Turning the big 2.0. Currently enjoying my last day as a teen! I feel so old already though, so I’m not THAT excited. But I have to admit, I’m pretty excited to devour some carrot cake and dance around the house like a mad person. Yep, I’m weird.

Moving West

(Hudson Jeans, Vintage top, Kensiegirl sweater courtesy of Modcloth, Urban hat, Free People cuff, Vintage bag, Naya Shoes)
I’ve always really liked those old western movies: Cowboy hats, rugged boots, and scruffy men on horses! This is my interpretation of the western style. A little more feminine and modern than the usual cowgirl look with my new Hudson boot cuts and slouchy knit cardigan. I feel right at home in this comfy outfit amongst the trees and grass. All I really need is a horse to complete the look and ride on outta here!

Hmmm, Western. Halloween. Could have been a good idea for some sort of costume! But after such a busy crazy week, I knew I would end up a couch potato watching scary movies, and probably drifting off to sleep before any little kids even step foot on my porch! Yep, that’s exactly what happened! Adios amigooos and hope you had a spooky Halloween weekend!
