I teamed up with iconic label, GUESS, and Refinery 29 to shoot this awesome video with their amazing stop-motion film team! For this shoot, I chose 4 amazing GUESS pieces that I am definitely looking forward to wearing this holiday. Right now, I’m totally into belted sweaters, sheer leopard, and a hot pair of fitted leggings. Perfect for strutting my stuff around Soho hehe! Shooting a stop-motion video was a completely new experience for me. Basically, I had to stay very very still in between takes… the director would mark my last move, switch the item of clothing/movement, shoot that, and keep going….until we captured the whole story. It was fun getting creative and making some magic! So take a look and watch the entire video! There is some seriously funny business going on! (I swear that necklace was out to get me)

(5 Preview blazer, Armani Exchange knit sweater, Joie skirt, Botkier bag)
If I’m going for a head to toe black ensemble, I work with a mix of different textures. Here I went with something completely unexpected: a leather mini, a knitted sweater, and a silky blazer. They’re all very structured, but I think the fun Armani Exchange knit played it down a bit. This time of year, I’m a total knit obsessor. I already have a large garment bag sitting in my bedroom filled with them! For my afternoon roaming the streets of Soho, I made sure to wear a comfy pair of flat brogues with a great pair of tights. I recently just went out to buy a bunch of necessary black accessories: gloves, tights, and socks. I know that the icky chill is on it’s way!

(Hallelu bloues and kimono, Volcom jeans, Vintage hat, Accessorize rings, Rebecca Minkoff bag)
For fall, one texture I love is velvet. Recently I scored this awesome kimono style cardigan and I love the splash of different colors. It’s always nice having a few of these pieces to easily throw on over something super simple just to spruce things up a bit. It kind of takes me back to the 70’s. The velvet, fringe, and popping print, sort of makes me miss California and the beach culture I grew up with. It’s very Venice Beach/Santa Monica. Speaking of which, already planning my trip back to LA for Christmas! Already, mid-November is approaching. Time is going by waaaaay too fast at the moment. I’ve been living in New York for just over 5 months, but it feels like I’ve been here forever. Quickly, this city is already feeling like home. Never did I think I’d adjust so smoothly! My friends still call me an “east coast soul.” Riiiiiiiight 🙂
