There are only some days that I’ll wear head-to-toe black. This was one. Some cut-outs, a waxed denim jacket, some fun patent nastygal kicks with the white sole. Sometimes I prefer to just be more subtly loud…no crazy colors needed. As if I’m walking through the LES and meshing in with the black on black crowds of hooligans. My Stance socks collection ever growing. But I’ve always got to have some color…even it’s only in my cherry red lip. This dress fits like a bathing suit top, and it’s already getting my in the California groove. Yep, I’m back in LA next week and I can’t wait to kick it Cali style…barefoot with a good ol’ pair of bell-bottoms. It’s LA, San Diego, then another week in la la land. Who knows? Maybe I’ll road trip up to Vegas the following week. We’ll see what happens. It’s summer and I want to make the most of it. Time to whip out the suitcase.

Take a peek inside our latest Volcom lookbook, shot by Dylana Suarez. At first, the makeup was deep burgundy lips, the skirt worn as a tube top, along with a square-ish denim jacket. Right away, we got a super 90’s Glam vibe. We were oh so inspired by the beautiful and badass vibe of JLO along with the supermodels of the time…with their loose, long waves, giant hoop earrings, and over-the-top poses. The crazy reflective sunglasses were just one added touch. It’s all about mixing and matching, and layering, and erm, showing a liiiiiittttle bit of skin! For the last look, I found myself in the Volcom “dotted line” daisy bikini top and bottom, hoop earrings, a baseball cap, and pulling at a rad pair of overall shorts. With just a swipe of nude lips and a little flair in my hair, we created the perfect 90’s GLAM swim look. Definitely what I’d wear if I were a 90’s superstar. x

I shot these photos of my boyfriend Jordan, just as we were getting ready for our couples MANGO shooting in Barcelona. You may know him as one of the brothers behind Modern Vice…but he’s also one hot MODEL (well, for this day hehe!) I love watching him get dressed. For him it’s easy. A white tee, a blazer, some cool trousers…his signature Worth & Worth hat. His tattoos do all the talking. I have so, so many Barcelona photographs that I still cannot wait to post, these personal shots still some of my favorites. Sometimes, I prefer being behind the lens…being sneaky to get the perfect shots. I miss Hotel Pulitzer. And I miss that Espana sun bouncing off the balcony. Too gorgeous for words. Barcelona, we hope to see you again soon.

There’s something about this blue eyeliner. I just got it, and some how it reminds me of a water creature…a dolphin…and I love how it compliments anything SUMMER. So subtle, yet still brightens up my whole face. Blue eyeliner…and DIAMONDS on my wrist?! It’s quite the mix and I’m loving it. I’m thinking by end of fashion week, I’ll sneak away for a really nice beach escape, where I can wear any color of the rainbow and a bikini. Where anything goes. These past few weeks, there’s just been so much going on. I have been getting home past 10pm nearly every night here in the city, and finally I escaped to the family home of my boys at Modern Vice out on the island for the weekend. Swimming, diving in, and showering under the mini waterfall felt so refreshing. So yes, the weekend has consisted of some needed R&R, a night out with H&M to a Beyonce concert, and tearing when she sang Whitney Houston’s “I will Always Love You.” One song that always makes me cry. SO embarrassing. Anyways, here I am snapped by Dylana after a really long week where we wanted to just get boba and CHILL (something I need to make more time for here.) A white dress, corduroy shirt, and sandals that allow you to wrap your feet any which way (talk about rad!) Paired with some of my favorite jewelry…from vintage Grandmother’s Buttons to a gorgeous diamond cuff by the lovely IPPOLITA. I mean, diamonds ARE a girl’s best friend. I surprised my boyfriend with my blue lids during dinner. He said he liked it way more than black. Score.
