Gong Xi Fa Cai!

(Vintage blazer, Calista tank, Forever 21 scarf, Hudson Jeans, Banana Republic boots, Vintage Versace bag)

With Chinese New Year just around the corner, I spent one evening trekking through downtown Chinatown, grabbing the baked bean buns and poultry requested by my mom so that she could prepare our Chinese New Year dinner. I was kind of appalled by the “black chickens” I ran into at the market, and boringly waited in line for the “brown young chicken” only to find out I didn’t have cash on me and they wouldn’t accept credit card. Not even caring about the time I just wasted, I decided to take a short walk and have a few snapshots of my outfit before heading out. Even though the sky has been clear, it’s actually pretty chilly with only the sun giving me a hint of warmth. With green being one of my favorite colors, I threw on this jade green tank and scarf along with a navy blue blazer. I was wearing booties this whole day because I had some castings and completely forgot to bring flats (gah i hate when that happens)! Despite not being able to make all of my Chinese New Year purchases, I did end up finding a hole in the wall joint with the best boba in town! Happily sipping the creamiest tea on the face of this earth, I jumped in my car just before the meter expired 🙂 GONG XI FA CAI!!

Nerd or Bohemian?

Here is just a sneak peek into my shoot for Blue Bird! Both images shot by the amazing Carmen Chan! I’m diggin both looks very much. One screams NERD while the other is totally boho rocker chic. Equally hot, but I’m definitely leaning towards the nerd look on this one only because I love a good pair of rimmed glasses, a worn out pair of Chucks, and a satchel cool enough to stuff all the best books in. What about you? What style would you sport this coming Spring?

UPDATE: two new pics to preview 🙂 Hope you like!

Clowning Around

(Vintage blazer, Hallelu dress, Cole Haan boots, Free People sunglasses, Bally bag)

This year has definitely been off to a great start. I got to work with a ton of great people, make new friends, and catch up with some old ones. This past week, I got to shoot the Olsenboye Spring campaign, directed by the amazing Steven Baillie, as well as work on a few other projects! The Olsenboye video series will be launching in March. I had the best time! I cannot wait to share with you all the details, along with some killer photos. I ended my crazy week with a relaxing, but totally fun evening out and about by the Santa Monica pier. I was browsing H&M on 3rd street when a woman with a camera and a business card came up to me. First thought was “uh oh” hehe because I usually always get awkward when recognized. But she happened to be the very sweet Alkisti hailing from Greece and creator/photographer of the street style website, Streetgeist! I am a total fan of her website and was shocked that she introduced herself and wanted to snap a few photos of me and my sister for her site! Her photography is amazing and I cannot wait to see our final shots! As the sun was setting, my sister and I ventured over to the Pier to meet an old friend. We got some sweet shots. There was clown passing by and I had to take at least one snapshot with him… i mean check out those sneakers!! So there you have it, my favorite photo from the day. I kept things simple with my favorite coral blazer, a sheer black mini, and my favorite flat boots. Perfect way to end an unforgettable week!
