FASHION WEEK | The Round-Up

Fashion week means living off boxed water, stumbling home with blistered feet, and endless, sparkling nights with friends. I’m excited to bring you this little photo diary. I kept my looks relatively low key. Each look had to have a statement piece. Yellow snake boots, my signature newsboy cap, a plaid pantsuit, oversize white hats, and frilly frilly skirts. Then there’s the sunglasses. I never leave the house without them. Between pit stops to charge our phones, and refuel, we had loads to capture. The black and white mesh at the Katie Ghallager presentation. The Rolling Stones playlist and it-girl studded catwalk at Tommy Hilfiger. Dylana, my partner in crime, swinging her fringe just off 5th Avenue. Billowing sleeves at Anna Sui, taking you to an alternate universe. All little moments to live for.

-Derek Lam tee, Dannijo choker, The 2 Bandits cuff, Siwy Denim overalls
-Christian Benner rock tee, Reiss leather skirt
Tommy Hilfiger blouse + skirt + sandals, Chanel backpack, H&M newsboy cap

DOROTHY PERKINS | London Coat Diaries

My photoshoot with Dorothy Perkins is officially HERE. Shot in London, it has allowed me to really play with that British rock n’ roll vibe. Turtlenecks, Beatle boots, newsboy caps. But most importantly JACKETS & COATS. I took my top 4 favorite DP coats to the streets off Hackney Road, East London. Quickly this area has become my ultimate hangout spot whenever I’m in town for fashion week. Each coat such a statement piece, I went from tomboy chic in a navy blue peacoat, to sleek and cool in their burgundy biker. From the posh girly-girl in a blush pink duster coat, to underground glamourous grunge in the blue faux fur coat. I am beyond happy that coat season is now here. DP’s got me covered.

WITH THE MATES | LFW

Oh, London, how I miss you SO! Fashion Week went by in an absolute flash. I’m finally feeling settled in my new NYC apartment, but missing all my British blokes. Best thing about staying in East London / Hackney is the canal. Yes, people live in these adorable little boats, and yes, I’ve come to fall in love with this little hood. After a classic English fry-up, my pals and I snapped some quick images before I had to run to the TopShop show, then scurry back to London Heathrow. I’ve become used to the HURRY, HURRY that comes with super short work trips.
But these babes make my LFW’s waaaay more bearable! Rachel (yes, she was from the crazy cool band KASMS!), Cecilia (leather jackets brought us together), Stephanie (aka my @highstitchedvoice), Jennifer (of StyleEast has quickly become one of my very good friends on either side of the pond!), and ROZ (gorgeous babe with brains in town from Oxford Uni). All too easy to photograph. All such rad girls.
For the last day of LFW, I went with the simple route. A statement Anna Sui blouse, skinnies, and my travel must-haves: a navy newsboy and black boots.

BUSHWICK BREEZE

To fully escape the city, you’ll catch me out in Bushwick. Not far from my sister’s Brooklyn abode is a charming, and beautifully calming neighborhood. Suddenly, the NYC grind and panick-attacks go away, and just off the beaten-past (I’m talking past Jefferson!) is a place you won’t run into anyone you know. Rain or shine, I go from the city to Brooklyn in the Sorel slimshortie boot. I’ve fallen for it’s Earthy tones come fall.
