NYC girl style is all about “doing things.” No matter where we are, and where we’re going, we like to dress up for the occasion….but in an effortless, undone way. We’re busy people and we’re always on our feet. That makes starting off our day in the right look super important. NYC is a place that is right on trend, if not, ahead of the trends. River Island fits perfectly with my NYC lifestyle. They make the most incredible staples that every NYC girl needs this holiday…the perfect trouser pant, the glamorous mule heel, the oversize shearling biker jacket, the leather mini. I like to go for chic, timeless pieces in classic New Yorker black and grey, mixed with a pop of color and shine in my accessories. Last night, River Island hosted a gorgeous and intimate #ImWearingrI dinner with Who What Wear at the Crosby Hotel and I am so glad I got to meet the lovely team alongside so many inspiring women. I am already mentally doing my holiday shopping.
Talk about the perfect midi. River Island nailed it on the head with this little black dress and I love how it subtly screams “festival”, without throwing too much fringe or crochet in your face! Sleek and simple, just the way I like it. Blending in with the black night desert sky, so clear you can see the stars. It’s the perfect backstage look…when you’re just leaving the festival and headed out to that party with the top secret address. Who says you need sleep anyways?!

You know how much I love my tie-dye and crazy Coachella prints, but lately, I’ve been a lot more minimal. River Island had me covered all weekend at Coachella, and we went with NEO-BLACK. Perfect suede mini-skirts, and retro silhouettes. Dark neutrals that sparkle in the sunlight, and a simple leather backpack to store all of my festival must-haves: sunscreen to lather on throughout the day, and loads of water to keep me fueled from show to show. I’m totally digging the more classic look come festival season. I can’t stress it enough: less is more, more, more!
Next to an overflown suitcase, I had my VIP ticket and just enough energy to get me through the 3 days of non-stop madness under the sun. Hopping from pool party to pool party, to just catching the sunset glow over the main stage. AC/DC totally killing the game. I swear nothing is better than some good ol’ rock n’ roll.
