My hunt for the perfect shoulder bag is never-ending. The Coach Fall 2016 collection is just beautiful and reminds me a bit of the vintage Coach bags I’ve had my entire life. The ones my mom would scour at estate sales to find me in every color. But it was time I updated my Coach collection. I just scored the new Coach 1941 Leather Saddle Bag at Neiman Marcus for my travels to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It’s classic, luxurious, and super simple. That’s what I love about it. A lot of the  Coach Fall 2016 collection was very western inspired. Loads of embellishment and studs. Somehow the classic “Dark Denim” bag stood out to me. It’s really a piece that will never go out of style. That’s the thing with Coach…each bag ages really well. It’s the leather! The 1941 saddle bag is so luxurious that I can slip my camera bag in, lipstick in it, and wallet in it, and it only gets better with more wear. And it’s practical for a day running around a city you’re just getting to know. My first day in Kuala Lumpur began with a delicious breakfast at the beautiful Majestic Hotel, followed by a visit to my cousin’s home with my aunt for a night of Steam Boat…my favorite meal. It’s a hot pot on a table, and all you do is dip whatever you want in it. Noodles. Tofu. Vegetables. Even in this crazy heat, we can take more spice! I kept things extra minimal with a full look from Neiman Marcus. A throw-on-and-go velvet maxi dress and satin slippers. I’ve been easing through my first hot, hot day in Malaysia. Our adventure has just begun.

COACH 1941

Last night’s Coach 1941 event, celebrating Stuart Vever‘s latest collection screamed classic Americana. It was an event superbly put on with the wildflowers and meadow-like decor, but my favorite part about it all were the violinists frolicking in beautiful floral dresses throughout the party playing twists on today’s popular music. Bohemian with a touch of rock n’ roll is my favorite kind of combination. I snagged this look right off of the Coach runway. A leather mini, the best cowboy boots a girl could own, and what seems to be a simple t-shirt until you see the beautiful pattern around the neckline. This reversible bomber jacket was just the icing on the cake on my flirty yet cool outfit combination. Coach 1941 is when the free spirited nomad meets the New York City. Inspired by the surge of new music, the hustle of the city streets and the delicacy of nature that isn’t too far away. You can find me picking flowers at home by the ranch in California one day . . . . and then who knows, toughing it out in a good leather skirt or jacket on the NYC subway the next. Life is unexpected like that, and I love how Coach came out with something so refreshing yet still so on brand at the same time for this new spring collection.

I’m all about the basics lately. Black leather jacket. Levi’s 501 jeans that I snipped the ankles off of. Navy blue duster. But it’s always in the accessories that I get funky. The Coach spring 2015 collection is all about NEON. Highlighter yellow is officially in again.

The 70’s aviator is BACK. And better than ever thanks to Coach. The brown tint taking me to an alternate universe, transporting me back to the days when Bob Dylan’s words were all that could teach you a lesson, and Mick Jagger’s twist of his hips was some sort of religion. Lately, I’ve been all about these accessories that are inspired by our favorite rock legends. Even the accent of a feather. This Coach Fall ’14 necklace a constant reminder to live free, and always allow yourself to get lifted off your feet. Now, I can’t wait to show you what’s in store for Spring.
