I discovered designer Yune Ho at my friend’s store, ANTHOM. ANTHOM is known for featuring elevated, designer pieces that are minimal with a twist and I’ve been a fan and friend for years. Everything from their store design to their handbag collection is like an art exhibit. You just want to touch each piece and take a photo of it. Is it possible to describe it as understated luxury that still stands out?! I think so. Like this not-so-simple shirt dress in my favorite color, a bright red.

Yune Ho is back with an incredible spring line featuring exaggerated hems, fuzzy knits, and the perfect silk dresses. All made to mix and match. I think I might have to give this dress a whirl over pants sometime. But this time, for an afternoon back home in Dumbo, I went with a full-on burst of red. When in doubt, go monochrome. It’s genius how a shirt dress can easily be played up with a stitched pocket and tie down the spine. A total no-brainer piece in my closet. It’s when the sun comes out to play that I whip out a bold hue, statement earrings, and rockstud flat. It’s certainly about time ANTHOM made a reappearance on the blog. Remember when Dylana and I performed live with City of the Sun for their Soho store launch?! One of the best nights of my life.

Dylana and I collaborated with the amazing NYC based band, City of the Sun, to perform at the ANTHOM Soho store opening. The boys and I have been trying to plan a performance for over a year now, and it’s been magical seeing everything come to life with everyone’s insanely busy schedules. Singing and music are in our blood. It’s what gets us through the day. It’s what inspires what we wear. Where we go. What we do. We love that raw, deep soulful voice and sound. Nothing felt better than singing along to City of the Sun’s dreamy instrumentals. They take you to an alternate universe every single time. ANTHOM was the absolute perfect place to put on a gig. It’s luxurious high white ceilings, copper accents, and minimal elevated aesthetic. It’s my best friend’s store and I couldn’t be more proud to see her unique vision come to life. Be sure to check it out at 25 Mercer Street in Soho. My go-to for anything super chic. Dylana and I both wore head-to-toe Yune Ho for the night.

Dylana and I have been giving you a little taste of music more this year which is exciting. We took 3 of our favorite songs and gave it a little flamenco rock touch for the night. I fell madly in love with the super chic and minimal Morgane Le Fay store in Soho. I remember being a kid and walking down Montana Ave in Santa Monica just going ga-ga. My obsessed started there. I get the same feeling here in NYC. Recently, I’ve been investing in quality, simple pieces that I’ll keep forever. Unique shapes in out of this world delicate fabrics. Like this off shoulder dress that from a distance, looks shapeless, but with it’s one front tuck stitched so perfectly at the hip, it’s immediately transformed into something angelic and feminine. That’s what the designer does. Tweaks classic shapes into something unexpected and beautiful. I like to give them a fun spin with a good pair of leather clogs, and of course my layered on silver jewels. How killer is this ostrich skirt and star-studded blouse? Styling this for the streets is going to be FUN.
