New York, London, Milan, and Paris. It’s that time of year again. Fashion month. I got to kick it off extra early last week in New Zealand of all places, and I am still recovering from the jet-lag. I’m using this holiday weekend to really just get my much needed sleep before one of the busiest months of the year. Paris is certainly the highlight. I love waking up in Place Vendome at the most beautiful place to stay, The Ritz Paris, before slipping away into a visual dream at each show. The locations, like here at the stunning Cartier chateau, are gems. It’s like stepping into a picture book. Every detail. Every corner is immaculate. I like my wardrobe to feel the same when I’m in France. This is what a New Yorker in Paris looks like. Leather trench coats. Printed tights. Tulle dresses. Accentuated shoulders. Pastel suits. In Paris, living and dressing is art.

I brought the beach to Paris this summer in this eclectic Philip Lim floral print. I call this look: metropolitan surfer. ROYAL versus REBEL? REALITY versus FANTASTY? Dylana and I were in Paris with the Cartier team for one of the brand’s biggest jewelry launches, Clash de Cartier! We had a few days of press appointments and brainstorming meetings in preparation of the campaign launch. Celebrities, influencers, and editors from all over the world flew in to be the very first to get access to this exclusive launch. To kick things off, Dylana and I shot this iconic Clash de Cartier ring in four major style clashes, all of which have been slowly been released this month. Our next #ClashdeCartier series is launching on Monday and I can’t wait for you to see more! For now, here is part 1 of our campaign. This spiky gold ring has multiple personalities, and I love how it embraces opposites, clashes, and contrasts. For our photoshoot, I am royal, while Dylana is rebel, yet we find harmony in gorgeous yellow ensembles on both sides of the style spectrum. You’ll also see that I am reality, while Dylana is fantasy. Honestly, I’m normally caught between the two clashes, keeping my feet firmly on the ground while also daring to dream. My sister and I represent both sides separately, yet we’re always tied together with our Clash de Cartier ring. Opposites attract in the best way.

Yellow! Swirls! The new Mulberry Ready-to-Wear collection is absolutely outstanding. It just makes Dylana and I want to move and groove as if we were in the 60’s. I feel a lot of mod inspiration came into these looks with the fabulous round collars, boxy shapes, and statement buttons. We definitely brought the fun to The Ritz in Paris. The hotel is fit for a queen. The moment I walked in, I was blown away by the decadent decor and amazing hospitality. I think this might be my favorite hotel to stay in Paris! I immediately soaked in all of our gorgeous surroundings. Everything in our rooms was immaculate…from the golden swan knobs on our sink, to the pretty tassels hanging on our beds. Why is everything so golden and shiny and picture-perfect at The Ritz? I feel so lucky to have been able to spend the week here with Dylana along with our special guests, Mama and Papa Suarez. It’s not everyday that my parents get to travel with us on a work trip, so it really was just magical. I’m savoring all of our recent family time. They really do keep me going. Team Suarez never stops.

Paris is currently buzzing with couture week and though I am actually stuck in NYC working on projects, I can’t help but do a quick flashback to my Paris uniform. I had just left a long brunch at the very elegant Apicius restaurant, soaking in all it’s beauty in the courtyard. It’s a spot I could stay at all, sipping a cappuccino and catching up with friends or simply lying down on the grass with a good book. Classically Parisian, yes? This is a look that will remain timeless and forever in my closet. It’s my version of the 3-piece suit. A little cropped jacket as a top, oversize flared trousers, and a really gorgeous and lightweight wool trench coat. This is a look that could easily be thrown on with beat-up leather combat boots, but for Paris, I always step it up a notch, slipping into a delicate Christian Louboutin mule and grabbing my Cartier Guirlande bag before heading out the door. It’s funny that wherever I go, I tend to adapt. I get inspired by the grand architecture, the gloomy weather that makes you want to curl behind a cup of coffee, and the effortless je ne sais quoi. Paris will always be a spot that I get to go back for work to. Short, but sweet, with a hectic schedule and a lot of jetlag. This year, I’ve been mentally preparing for my year of travels. I’m ready to see new places, new countries. I’m sure there are many more places that will give me the same amount of inspiration that Paris always does time and time again.

I just want to shimmy and shake in this feathered skirt, or shall I say skort. It has built in shorts! They can’t be anymore perfect for dancing. The holidays are over? I don’t want to believe it. I’m still in that very festive state of mind. Mulberry happens to be my go-to for an eclectic night out in Paris. It seems I’m always living out of a hotel wherever I go for work. I wouldn’t mind having the stunning Hotel de Crillon as my home base. But this week, I’m trading in my croissants for green juice as I settle in on the west coast. I’m currently working in LA, shacked up at the iconic Chateau Marmont. It’s exciting waking up in a new place and I enjoy all the people watching and celebrity sighting. Everyday is one to explore no matter where I am in the world.

All amazing designers that are taking plaid to the next level. I miss Paris already! When I’m in town for work, the days fly by, and my jet lag is always absolutely insane. I’m a happy girl if I get one second to hit the spa before all the fashion. The holidays don’t slow anything down. Team Suarez is currently wrapping up all of our holiday shoots and campaigns. Think hours at our desk doing final edits, hopping from event to event, and even hosting a few shin-digs of our own. I love taking things offline and really connecting to our community…connecting to all of you! I think taking everything online and moving it offline is so important right now for the longevity of what we do. Making those face-to-face connections and just keeping things real. Plus, there happens to be Pre-Fall runway shows happening right now, this weekend, in NYC. I just saw the Alexander Wang Collection 2 show last night, and I’ll be over at Versace’s show this evening. I can always expect the unexpected this time of year. The inspiration just keeps on going! So much sparkle and so little time, but it’s all just super exciting! Even with the holiday rush and go, go, go, it’s that time of year where I hit refresh. I’ve already booked my flights back to Los Angeles for Christmas. This lady needs a really good long vacation. The sun, my car, and a good soundtrack. I can hardly wait. I’m sticking it out in NYC style until then!

I had just landed in Paris for Paris Fashion Week, and on the very last day. This happens to me sometimes when work in NY keeps me in the city, and then suddenly something comes up in Paris and voila, surprise appearance! I was in town with the dreamy Cartier team for a super special project, but luckily, I flew in just in time for my favorite shows of the season, Sacai. Landing in Paris was like feeling fall again for the very first time. The cold slapped me across the face. It is indeed turtleneck season. I quickly checked into Hotel de Crillon (it’s one of my favorite places to stay in Paris), before slipping into this stunning Sacai look, straight off the runway. How incredible is this knit with ruffle detail, and a waist best? The pleated skirt is also just spectacular. I can always count on Sacai to immediately do a fresh take on the classics. The little details are so interesting and thoughtful. I look closely at each piece, and just go wow. I completed the look with a feathered heel by Lena Erziak and a perfect YSL pop of red bag. In Paris, I happen to only wear the best of the best.

Mulberry England does lady like chic, with a modern twist unlike anyone else. The quality in this perfect blue suit is beyond. I wore this out for a gorgeously romantic night out at this season’s Paris Fashion Week. I have been pretty non-stop this season. NYFW -> PFW -> Montreal and now back for my second collection launch tomorrow here in NYC. One more week until Dubai. PHEW. It wasn’t until I landed in Paris that I felt a tingle of winter hit my face. The cold is a’ coming and I’m switching out my summer wardrobe with my favorites for fall. Right now, I’m really into sets. They’re easy, super elegant, and perfect to travel with. I can always count on a set to become 4 outfits with a few extra tops and bottoms. There’s something about Paris that brings out that lady like fashion sense in me. I like seeing a little prim and proper look on a totally rebellious cool girl. Just forget brushing your hair out and grab your fanciest shoes.

I am giving you the very first look at Cartier‘s new bag. It’s so fresh and exclusive that it still hasn’t been named. Can you believe it? So we’ll just have to call it the NEW BAG for right now. It’s a new twist on the iconic Cartier jewelry box design. A luxurious deep red with an intricate gold design. I was in Paris Fashion Week with the Cartier team specifically for this super special launch. I was stunned to see the Cartier groomsmen come to our hotel room at Hotel de Crillon with a beautiful red box in hand! Dylana and I couldn’t help but giggle seeing the handsome groomsmen bouncing from room to room delivering the goodies to the team. They surprised me with a custom initialed bag. So delicate and elegant, I couldn’t help but stop and stare. Things like this only happen in Paris right? I immediately started playing dress up in our room in anticipation of this exciting and exclusive launch. I felt it went perfectly with a giant dotted gown and pale pink lip. I can always count on Cartier to make me feel like the woman I want to be.
