This beautiful Shelter Island, NY abode is home to interior designer, Jonathan Adler. The moment I walked through the bold orange front door, I immediately stopped and gasped. Once you soak in the gorgeous and eclectic decor, you’ll notice it’s floor-to-ceiling glass windows, looking out to it’s own private beach. Talk about breathtaking. This interior designer really knows how to make a statement.

Every single corner of the house had loads of character, with so much to see! From the wooden swing chairs…teal painted walls…and bold, printed rugs. It screamed 1970’s glamour with it’s warm color palette and fun print-on-print combinations. Clearly, there was so much attention to detail, yet looked effortless at the same time. A time warp, but with an updated and modern twist. I happened to be at his house for the Clinique x ADLER collaboration launch…where interior design and lifestyle meets beauty. Editors from all over the city headed out East for an early Thursday morning brunch and relaxing weekend on the island. Have you seen the CLINIQUE x ADLER jewel toned colored lipsticks yet?! They’re so good. Unique and unexpected collaborations are always the most exciting. For now, take a peek at this alternate universe Jonathan Adler calls home.
