YOU CAN’T CATCH ME

floral5resized

It feel so amazing to be back on the West Coast before the holidays. Normally, my travel trips are short and sweet, packing and unpacking every other day. LA. NEW YORK. LA. NEW YORK. This time, I’m a bit more settled…working before the holiday festivities really take over, and I get to BREATHE. I’m thinking a classic roadtrip up and down the California coast. Maybe casinos and flashing lights out in Vegas. Or driving with the top down up to Redwoods, bundled inside my parka. The smell of pinetrees and ocean. Maybe Mexico. Tulum. Spontaneity. Anything’s possible. Unplanned is the best plan. I feel so much more relaxed, and in tune when I’m home. The view of the mountains from my window from the house I grew up in. Always beautiful, always extra comforting. The endless rows of bougainvillea just the icing on the cake. Good Day LA.

KICKING IT

swedennyc2resized

I’ve totally just hit up the sneaker department HARD lately. After wearing so many uncomfortable shoes for years on set for shoots, and walking the streets of NY with bandaged heels, I thought, “I really need to invest in some proper kicks.” They have saved my feet. Not to mention, it’s the perfect excuse to take on classic Swedish style. Just pair something totally classic and chic, dressed down with the perfect beat-up sneaker. Duster coat by Rodebjer (must-have Swedish brand), an embellished mini, and my favorite white tee. Oh, how I miss Stockholm! Where minimalism is key, and effortless is everything. Next to my favorite Pumas, Vans, and Nike sneakers, I’ve also recently went GA-GA over Brit brand Gola who I just shot with for the S/S ’15 campaign. Shop below my favorites.

I’VE GOT WINGS

familyaffairs5resized

These magnificent fringed sleeves literally feel a lot like wings. Especially when I’m stepping out into the extra windy streets off the Hudson River. They flutter every which way I turn. Black magic. I’m currently packing for my upcoming travels, and I’m always leaning towards these everyday staples. A simple cropped turtleneck, and my new favorite velvet maxi-skirt by Tjours Toi Family Affairs. (oh, and it’s on SALE for just today only…grab ’em while you can!) Sometimes your simplest pieces make the best of looks.

Moccassin Love| Minnetonka Holiday

minnetonkanat3resizedminnetonkanat5resized

Dylana and I grew up with moccassins. Minnetonka to be exact. Dancing in the California desert dust, letting our fringed boots do all the talking. We’ve taken them from our childhood memories…to last year’s SXSW music festival in Austin, Texas (remember Heartbreaker BANQUET?!)…and now  to the hustling, bustling streets of NYC. I’m so excited to share with you: Minnetonka Holiday! Styling these for the East Coast winter blues was a piece of cake! We paired our favorite classic boots and slip-ons with distressed boyfriend jeans, mini shift dresses, vintage sweatshirts, denim minis, and your favorite thick stockings. Anything goes!
