I’m excited to be taking you on a walk with Frye and InStyle. There really is nothing better than new boots for a new day. Shoes are my love, and I can’t have enough. From cuffed jeans to chiffon dresses, I’m giving you my fall style low-down.

I will live in boots forever. Frye remains a brand consistently in my closet, season after season. I wear them to the bone. I took the brown Courtney lace-up out in Boerum Hill for a late afternoon trip of sunflower shopping, and soaking in all the fall beauty. The change of season so prominent in this little artistic Brooklyn neighborhood full of tree-lined streets, quaint cafes, and beautiful boutiques. I paired these perfect lace-ups with an All American denim-on-denim look. Complete with a touch of floral in the blouse, and my favorite cowboy hat.. These are the true classics in my closet that will forever be in style.

The Frye Campus Lug Lace-Up boot is heavy duty, and that’s what I love about them. Their full lace up the front gives them a cool Victorian feel…but it’s the heavy sole, and distressed leather that make them so badass. They’ve quickly become one of the coolest boots in my closet. I girly’d them up with a chiffon floral maxi and leopard velvet coat. I love these soft neutral tones for fall.

A classic black chelsea boot is a must-have. It’s what I throw on during the week. If I’m running to an early morning photo shoot (they’re made for those “slip on and go” days)…and it’s perfect for lazy weekends. It all comes down to one thing: the Frye Carson chelsea boot goes with everything. The high ankle is boyish, but it’s slim fit is still feminine and oh, so perfect. I paired mine with a denim maxi skirt, black jacket, and gave it a tomboy vibe with wool-y beanie.

This rich rust colored red is absolutely gorgeous. With the contrasting laces, I’ve become obsessed with this boot: the Sabrina by Frye. The Sabrina boot has been a staple in my closet for years. My first pair was in brown. I wear them with chunky socks, with boyfriend jeans…in the rain and snow, and still, they’ve lasted me till now! I wear them every single season. And so I paired this new red baby with another spring-fall transitional piece: the white lace midi dress. With a pale blue denim jacket and white sunglasses, I let the pop of red in my boots do all the talking.

Love the overall sturdy look of Frye boots. The first ones you have one are my faves, especially with that dress. But then I’m partial to tall, lace up boots in general. Also what a pretty eyelet dress in that bottom set.
