COLD FLASH BACK

Can you believe it wasn’t so long ago that you had freezing toes inside your wellies and feeling the itch of your wool sweater?! Sorry to bring it up again! But yes, WINTER is officially gone. And though it was long and dreadful, there was so much to love, and still, so much beauty that whenever I look back, I do miss it. Upstate New York kept me cozy all winter long. The cabin. Our views of hills and hills of mountain, and pure snow so white, I had to squint to look at it’s glare. Lying down by the fire. Drives out to nowhere lands. Well, the secret’s out. Our hidden abode was the luxurious White Face Lodge. I liked having it be my well-kept secret for the time-being, but I had to share. I hear it’s even MORE gorgeous in the summer. I’m down for a little kayaking down Lake Placid. But I have to admit, I’m not sure how a summer in Lake Placid could top a winter in Lake Placid, but I’m extra down to find out.
With the months of Christmas trees and twinkling lights comes with the experimentation of LAYERING. I’m quickly adjusting my favorite jackets into vests, and trousers to culottes, and knit sweaters to netted tanks. Plaid, fur, and amazing knits. I had my favorites. My fuzzy hat, taken from my W Concept campaign shoot. It’s now sadly flattened in the back of my hat closet at the moment, waiting for me to give it a little shake before taking it on another snowy excursion. And that blue Paul & Joe tailored coat? PERFECTION. But yes, it’s been untouched for months now….but only until next season. Knitted wool stockings?! Ripped…torn, and HAPPILY buried somewhere in the bottom of my drawers. This look remainds one of my favorites, along with the memories that came with it.

Such a lovely winter outfit! Love the furry hat as well. Really inspirational outfit as it is winter in Sydney though I have to say it is not quite freezing here. Probably because of global warming.
