The crew…a pack of chock-full of-fun girls made my job EXTRA EASY. We started with an early morning in Soho…laid out in the Hannah black ripped jeans and lace bodysuit, and LEATHER. It’s my classic look. An eclectic mix of short and long layers…loads of black….boots….my guitar so heavy it made my fingers numb in the morning cold. Then, I traded it in for something clean.
Something WHITE. Slouchy distressed Kendra white boyfriend jeans, a sheer white blouse (NO BRA, woops) and white leather jacket. It’s sophisticated but still a bit rock n’ roll, just the way I like it.
From there, I slipped into my painter’s uniform. One of my favorite pairs. The artist paint-splattered ripped skinnies. A bit more mid-rise, and extra cute with polka-dot socks and silver platform shoes. It’s like the kid came out in me in this look. I found myself smiling so wide it hurt. Who knew carousel’s overlooking Manhattan could immediately make a girl giddy?!
After spinning and spinning and spinning, I tore off my clothes under the Brooklyn Bridge and slipped into that grey skinny I was talkin about. Tapered, Kate Moss…PERECTION! Topped off with my boyfriend’s leather cap, I strutted through Chinatown…en route to the nearest skate park, wishing I had my long board on me.
The hustle and bustle of downtown gave me the heebeejeebees, and I opted for cotton candy back in the burg, WILLIAMSBURG. Black skinnies and little ballet flats, I felt a bit like Brigette Bardot. You know, just being flirty by the bookshelves!
That’s when I realized THAT’S IT…I’m going all out. DENIM ON DENIM. My match made in heaven. Here is the Ladonna jean in Beach Bum. The more worn in and distressed, the better. Complete with a navajo boot and not much else, I basked in the Williamsburg sunset…not wanting my full blown denim daze to disappear.
