(Eternal Sunshine Creations Dress, GAP turtleneck, Free People “Manitobah” moccasins)

The best moments in winter are curled up by the fireplace in your favorite floral minidress and thigh-high stockings, so far from the crazy city that you finally feel at peace. Oh, and who can forget these story boot mocassins?! Everytime I slip these on I’m reminded of Lake Placid, our lodge, and immediately the smell of snow on cedar comes over me and hits me over the head. It’s easy missing a place where you’d ice skate in the middle of the night, go bowling in a mini alley, and swim inside and outside in negative 10 degree weather that it was so cold your hair turned to ice. Talk about one CHILLY yet still, the coziest getaway ever. Being back home in the city, I haven’t found too much time to sink back into these story boots, but whenever i’m at home, you’ll find me snuggled on the couch with them scrunched down to my ankles. I’m currently immersed in work…back shooting an exciting campaign for Saks 5th Avenue, and now so in work mode that I found myself passing out in bed with the TV on last night. My legs so sore and tired from shooting in heels all day, you find yourself not being able to move. Anyways, the boy and I are still thinking of the dreamy days of Lake Placid. The whole trip doesn’t seem real. Till next time…
