New Ground

I’m excited for a lot of things come Spring. Already, it looks like I’ll be traveling for work in the next two months, and to cities I’ve never been to! I’m so so ready to explore! New York, you’re still kinda chilly, and I’m dying for some sun. I’m already out scouring some new Spring pieces to take with me on my journeys. From festival to festival, from east to west, I want to visit every corner of this world. And of course, with a suitcase to paint the town in. We’re talking lots of COLOR. Tie-dye, florals, shaggy coats, paislees, all topped off with some killer cowboy hats, boots, and badass silver/gold jewels. I’m sure by the end of my travels, my wrists will be stacked with bracelets and wristbands picked up on the road. I’m ready to stomp over all this new ground! Stay tuned for my upcoming journeys.

Lifting in the Wind

(ASOS “chambray” dress, True Religion leather jacket, Vanessa Mooney necklace, Vintage blouse, “Natalie + Dylana Suarez x Modern Vice” VINTAGE BENNI)
I’m up a bit earlier than normal…yep, I’ve got to rush to the factory. There’s a high school fieldtrip going on, and this, I can’t miss! Talk about fun! I love when when the boyfriend gives the grand tours! Of course by now, I know the place inside and out. Shoes here, lasts there, machines that-a way. Anyways, for work and running around in the rain, I’m not quite sure what I should wear anymore. Docs that allow me to jump in puddles, and some black skinny jeans have become my go-to in not so happy weather. Luckily, the weekend had one beautiful day. It was a day to jump around in a teeny tiny babydoll dress and leather jacket and feel completely at ease. This baby is ASOS, and as part of their #justifyyourlove campaign, I’m styling it out as many ways as possible come Spring! It’s so small, it just lifts in the wind!! Anyways, this week is full of early call-times, all leading to one weekend to finally plop down on the couch. It’s only Wednesday baby!

Fog Creature

The best kind of days are when it’s so foggy out you can barely see in front of you, there’s a touch of rain, and you can run wherever you want, all while getting a bit of dirt on your boots. It’s crazy how much my short visit to Philadelphia suddenly felt like I was back in London…or off in the English countryside. I long to go back! Dylana and I slipped between the fences of this deserted, old field, and that was before the rain came down and we were all of a sudden, running through mud! Once I did get inside, my boots needed some major cleaning. For me, it’s necessary to have a short weekend out of the city with friends, to act like the crazy girls that we are. I packed light…well, sort of. A cardigan, a denim button-down, and of course, this rad Bellerose coat from Germany…a brand I just recently discovered. When it’s this cold, I prefer to button everything up to the top! Anyways, it’s not even 8am and I’m playing The Clash and making french press. Happy, happy Monday from NYC!

By the way, make sure to stop by East Village’s cutest store ever, Cloak & Dagger, and you can finally get your hands on our “Natalie + Dylana Suarez x Modern Vice” JETT bag! This tasseled beauty is always by my side now that I finally don’t have to borrow our samples! Wahoo!

In my Cabinets

Products would come in gift bags after shows, presents during Christmas, and now, I have a drawer filled with cosmetics that I just might get to. And sometimes the counters of my bathroom are piles of fragrances, mixed in with all my random jewels which I switch up everyday. Right now, I’ve noticed that the less I use, and the less I “care” for my skin, the better it is. A simple moisturizer, some SPF, dabs of concealer, and it’s really the only way to keep my skin feeling clean and fresh. Night it when I get a bit more into it…with an exfoliant and eyecream. It’s really strange. Many of my friends, even my boyfriend, thinks that everyday my face changes. Their not sure what it is? The structure or something they keep telling me! I guess with time, you finally grow into what you’re supposed to look like. Believe me, going back through my photos as a child and every single year I looked like a different person.
Just a few products that made it to my shelf: MAKE Color am/pm cream, Clarin’s Double Serum, Estee Lauder “Idealist” illuminator, Shiseido “White Lucent” eye cream, Kiehl’s body cream)
Anyways, besides these little transformations that come with growing up, I’ve always been a lip girl. I used to not want to highlight my full lips, but now, I’m always seen with different colors. You guys probably remember the year I wouldn’t go a day without red lipstick..well, I still carry a tube in my bag at all times. But even with a plum, and now with Spring….BOLD COLORS! Bright pinks, a coral and subtle orange. I’m having way too much fun. Of course when I’m on the job or headed to castings, I keep everything super minimal. No lipstick, maybe a light stain..or I’ll go with the cat-wing on my eye, just because I can. Why not?! Even models need makeup too ya know.

(Estee Lauder “Scarlet Siren” red lipstick, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics in “Anime” pink lip tar, L’oreal black liner, Rosebud lip salve)
