Final Result:

VOTE for my looks HERE!

I had such a wonderful time at the MANGO headquarters here in Barcelona. The bloggers and I were invited over to style and shoot a few looks from their spring collection, all of which will be voted on so that the winner can donate 5,000 euros to a charity of her choice (I assume all of you wonderful readers will vote for me, yes?!) The images are up on mango.com NOW, so go vote vote vote for me!

The clothes were absolutely stunning. In the studio, there was a section dedicated to brights and a whole other section with very neutral tones. I chose two gorgeous looks that were so my style. I went with a very vintage, 70’s inspired look first with a jade green suede high waisted skirt and a printed button up. My second look was a lot more feminine and romantic. I wore a long beige maxi dress with a large floppy hat. It was just so simple and so laid back. I just want to take these looks back home with me in California. They are just so perfect for my lifestyle! I had a wonderful time meeting the 6 other bloggers (see them here on the MANGO website). I have to thank MANGO for being extremely wonderful and giving me this incredible opportunity to travel here and work with the brand. Many thanks to Georgina and Carolina for making me feel so at home here and making this all come to life!

CHIARA!

Ended our night at Big Fish. Sushi, sushi, and more sushi! Here with Chiara and Andy! Wonderful meeting these girls! They are so fun!

I am here in beautiful Barcelona, Spain! This pretty much covers my first day in Europe. So so exciting! I arrived early Monday morning and checked into the beautiful Hotel Omm. The flight was pretty long, about 12 hours total, and I was definitely a bit jetlagged but there was no way I was just going to take a nap in my room. Instead, I decided to call and meet up with Zoey Bittleston of Make Shift Model. We are so much alike it is insane. I’m happy the crazy world of blogging brought us together. I swear she is my other half. . . on this continent of the world! ‘m so lucky to have her this week to show me around the city and take me to all the best spots. We also caught up with Chiara Ferragni of The Blonde Salad here as well. Chiara and I are both working on the MANGO project here in Spain. So amazing meeting her after reading each others blog for quite some time. I loved getting to know a bit more about her and her Italian background. Walking through the bustling streets, they introduced me to the European culture and lifestyle. We went for vintage shopping and coffee. Me, asking for something like Starbucks grande vanilla latte at an underground coffee house was hilarious. You see, coffee here is cherished and is appreciated. Thankfully, Chiara and Zoey gave me the run down. Grrr, us Americans…know nothing about coffee. hehee. There is still so much to see here and learn about! I’m excited for the rest of the week and can’t wait to getting started on the MANGO project! Stay tuned!!

To the Ballet

(Bebe blazer, AGAIN tee, American Apparel skirt, J.Crew flats, Vintage bag)

I’m currently lusting over anything ballerina. The little ballet flats and pastel pink shades feel so fresh for spring. It’s easy, simple, and chic. I love a great pleated skirt with a soft gray tee. Loose layers at their best. Plus, it is extremely comfortable. I just want to dance around and watch this pretty little skirt shimmer lol.

I might even throw this look into my suitcase for my time in Spain next week. I’m a bit freaked out, I haven’t even started packing! Apparently the weather is a bit up and down, so I’ll be sure to bring layers that can easily be thrown off and on. I’m flying out tomorrow morning to work on a fun project with my favorite Spanish brand, MANGO. I’ll be there for a week! The video I shot for the Que Me Pongo MANGO campaign will out in a few weeks as well and I’m both excited and nervous to see it (it is a web series and episode 1 is already out!)

Gaah, it’s going to be my first time in Europe and I cannot wait wait to share my adventures with you. I know I’m going to go crazy taking pictures so bear with me if my next posts are incredibly long!

Inside Our Home with “How I Met Your Style”

Photographs by Carmen Chan for How I Met Your Style: “intimate portraits of your favorite style inspirations”

Dylana and I were photographed in our home by the incredible Carmen Chan. Carmen, a photographer I have worked with before on photoshoots, just created a beautiful style site with Ken Wu called How I Met Your Style to display intimate portraits of people inspiring fashion today. I am in awe, being considered a style inspiration hehhe (thanks Carmen!) We had the best time shooting around our home. It was wonderful getting photographed in our natural environments. Carmen was free to roam about and shoot objects from both our bedrooms and workplace. I’m so pleased with the result. It’s so nice to have some special images together. So there you have it, the official launch of How I Met Your Style.
