Dylana and I grew up wearing AnnaSui…she is one of the main reasons we fell into fashion. I find it so beautiful the way she can tie in culture, rock n’ roll, and different eras into a single look. Her runway show is my favorite every single season. I’m always blown away with her eclectic touch and out-of-this-world imagination when it comes to design and style. You can tell Anna has a serious love for music, always making vintage rock n’ roll trends new again. I hear a string of Jimi Hendrix’s guitar and a roar of Janis Joplin’s voice whenever I shimmy into one of her amazing metallic dresses. Her designs always feel a bit mysterious… they certainly have a darkness to them, with a whole lot of quirky cool. I can spot an AnnaSui design and print from a mile away. They’re unlike anything I’ve seen out there. Her latest collections have been a mix of the wild, wild west with a romantic touch. I’m so excited that AnnaSuihas collaborated with INC International Concepts, a brand at Macy’s to make her unique designs even more attainable. They feel straight off the runway, yet super wearable. Trust me, this is one collaboration you’re not going to want to miss out on.
All my life I have been shopping at Macy’s. I can find a Macy’s in just about any city I travel to and I can always trust that what I’ll be shopping is fantastic. My go-to section in-store and online? Impulse Contemporary. So it was super exciting to hear I’d be the face for this campaign. I gravitate towards Macy’s Impulse due to it’s brands for cheeky tee’s, incredible denim, and perfect summer dresses. I’m talking about brands like Sanctuary, Rachel Rachel Roy, Max Studio London, Articles of Society, Suburban Riot, and William Rast. Each brand is elevated in their own way, yet still extremely comfortable and effortless. Impulse Contemporary has curated their shop to fit my forever evolving summer style.
My love for really well-made lingerie continues. I’ve just discovered the perfect set from my go-to lingerie brand Natori here at Macy’s. This beautiful royal blue hue designed by Josie Natori matches everything from my curtains to my favorite blanket. It’s a color of comfort. It’s a completely new take on the classic tee-shirt bra. The little lace and sheer accents make this super comfortable set extra luxurious. When I find something that works well on my body, hugs it in all the right places, and feels amazing on my skin, I just stick with it. I stick with what works and feels best for me, in any situation. It could be for a night of dancing in my favorite white tee. It could be hiking in a perfect pair of blue jeans. It could be on set at a shoot with a little silk dress. It’s in all of these situations that my undergarments play a huge role. I’m all for anything that allows me to move, and be completely comfortable in my own skin. Josie Natori’s elegant collection ranges from 30A to 44G, flattering women of all shapes and sizes. 2017 is for owning your own body in all of it’s uniqueness. I think I’ll take this set in black and pale pinkto add to my collection.
