MEET THE LEWY | KORK-EASE

When I see a burst of sunlight through my window in the morning, I can’t help but feel good and want to get dressed. New York City in the spring is totally magical, it’s so hard to pin-point the mood. It seems everyone was eating their lunch out in Madison Square Park this day. You just want to people watch, eat facing the street, and literally stop to smell the flowers. With the fresh new wave of energy hitting the city, I’ve been going for a lot more white denim, and of course, wearing the classic Kork-Ease platform sandal. The Lewy to be exact. I’m a huge fan 70’s inspired clogs with a cropped flare jumpsuit. It’s easy, classic, and just badass, especially with a little bit of stud action. Think of a more minimal Janis Joplin. That’s how I want to live my life. Killer shoes, a vintage coat from Mom’s closet, and loads of denim. It’s finally Friday and I’m gearing up for more time under the sun, scoping out the Dumbo flea, and laying out by the bridge. New York, I will always just love you.

Be sure to check out my other new Kork-Ease favorite, the HEIGHTS platform in collaboration with Free People.

NEW HEIGHTS // FP x KORK-EASE

There’s something so brilliantly 70’s about Kork-Ease. Their iconic sandals have been a favorite of mine ever since I discovered the brand out here in Brooklyn, where the it all began back in 1953. When something’s been around that long, you know it’s great. They just collaborated with Free People in creating the Original and most iconic platform of the 70’s. We’re talking new heights! Made for those babes who live for vintage, collect their Dad’s old records, and would do anything for the perfect dancing shoe. Their new Heights platforms are 4 inches high, but believe me, they totally rock and are still comfortable. I love this fun new spin on the classic cork wedge sandal from Kork-Ease.

When I want to go extra wild, I’ll whip out the pink platforms, pair them with a polka-dot sock, and my sister’s crochet mini. Keep the prints pleasantly clashing if you really want to make a statement at the next disco house party down the block. I’ve always been a shoes girl, and a lot of my looks revolve around a pair that I’m dying to take out on the town. The funkier the better. Now isn’t this just one dream collab?! Happy to be one of the first girls on the block to own this collection.
