Meet two stand-out summer statement dresses by Preen by Thornton Bregazzi. One, a hot red number made for salsa dancing, and another wrapped up like a perfect Grecian summer. I snagged these from the Preen Spring 2019 Ready-to-Wear runway. You’ll notice the collection’s 80’s vintage inspiration with a perfectly-imperfect twist. Overly ruffled, overly layered. Every little detail counts with Preen, and I can spend hours counting them all out, but I’ll spare you. This is one designer label that just makes me happy the moment I slip into it. I am kicking off summer in my Rothy’s flats, the most easy-going, comfortable shoe I own that goes with my prettiest summer dresses. I spent a few days out in Sayulita, Mexico and the gorgeous resorts of Punta Mita. I planned to pack light. Flowing silk kimonos, beaded dresses, and bikinis. And I want a shoe that really goes with everything and allows me to be on my feet all day long. Rothy’s shoes are machine-washable and sustainable, each pair made with recycled water bottles and carbon free rubber. Rothy’s has diverted over 30 million single-use plastic water bottles from landfills, giving them a second life as these beautiful shoes. How incredible is that? It’s a brand that I believe in with such a powerful message and story. The plus is that they are totally cute, versatile, lightweight, and breathable. Just what I need under the hot Mexican sun. The patterns on my Rothy’s flats fit in with all the beautiful textiles I’ve been seeing in the little stores of this little surf town. Blues, greens, reds, and yellows. With every trip comes a story. This one was spent soaking in all things friendship, sisterhood, adventure, and finding new ways to take fashion and make a powerful statement. By celebrating summer with Rothy’s I want to spread the message that we should be a lot more conscious and how we travel, what we wear, and what we’re consuming. I now feel more aware of our planet with every single step.

I took our annual girls trip to Punta Mita, Mexico and we kept our wardrobe really, really easy. Our go-to’s? Soft, baby blue denim from PAIGE. Summer is officially here and I ditched my NYC gear for more travel-friendly blues. To me, that always begins with denim. Something light. Something I can move in. Something I don’t mind getting down and dirty in the sand with. PAIGE’s summer collection is all about baby blue denim, so so soft to the touch, and washed to perfection. You’ll also find delicate floral prints, plenty of super soft lightweight jumpsuits, and lots of bum-hugging high waisted shorts. I stick to PAIGE classics year-round, but keep things fun and updated with an interesting twist like a fun raw hem or vintage-inspired pocket. There’s just something peaceful about endless tacos, margaritas, and sun-drenched denim on the beach with your three amigos. This is the best way to kick off summer.
