SPRING STARTS NOW | SHOPBOP

Shopbop dress: Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini. Shopbop bag: Serpui Marie. Tights. Hue. Shoes: Sandro Paris.

This mini and bag from Shopbop is what spring in Woodstock looks in my mind….as romantic as my favorite folk song. With the change of season, you’ll find me in electric colors and embroidered daisies. It’s not everyday that you see me in something so feminine, but the freshness of spring makes me wanting more and more ruffled sleeves and voluminous skirts! My closet is suddenly feeling a breath of fresh air as a warm breeze hits the city. I have been stuck in NYC for work this past month but luckily, there’s a lot of travel on the horizon. Team Suarez is so ready to kick off spring around the globe although NYC in the spring is amazing thanks to blue skies, loads of sun, and a wardrobe that mentally takes you somewhere else. I’ll be in between the West Coast, Europe, and a few off-the-grid locations coming up and I’m actually so, so ready to hop on a plane. This dress reminds me of so many different worlds. Spring is going to be all about that for me. Exploring new worlds and taking you along with me.

SUPER SOFT LAYERS THIS NYFW

Coat: The Kooples. Top: Gucci from NET-A-PORTER. Pant: Rebecca Taylor. Bag: Ferragamo from Monnier Freres. Earrings: Moya.

This was actually shot on the very last day of NYFW. I was too tired to wear my boots and heels anymore, that I slipped into my all-time favorite sneaker by Bally. I opted for everything oversize, because I was ready to dash in and out of shows under my umbrella in total comfort. My The Kooples coat felt more like a blanket yet this Gucci blouse from NET-A-PORTER made me front row ready in about two seconds. This NYFW flew by. Team Suarez and I shot a lot of amazing campaigns all while making it to 9am show call times and late dance night parties in Brooklyn. Even with all the fun, I was so ready for a good, long facial and massage come the day after. This FW I kept things cool and classic. Loads of trousers, great statement coats, and even more statement bags like this Ferragamo beauty I snagged on Monnier Freres. I have never felt more organized and relaxed during fashion week. I guess I am now a seasoned veteran that it suddenly feels easy peasy from getting my schedule finalized to making the time to get dressed and support some of my absolute favorite designers. I’m so happy to take you through some of my favorite moments in the next couple of posts.

VIRGIN HOLIDAYS: AN ITALIAN FOOD ADVENTURE AT EATALY NYC FLATIRON

// shot for Virgin Holidays// Jacket: Khrisjoy. Turtleneck: COS. Pant: Veronica Beard.

I am so excited to be featured on Virgin Holidays. I travel so much that it only made sense to bring you into my world and inside one of my favorite spots in my home of NYC, and that is Eataly. Eataly NYC Flatiron reminds me of every part of Italy that I adore. I have road tripped through Tuscany, the Amalfi coast, Rome, and Naples under the boiling hot summer sun. I’ve spent winters on work trips in Florence, fashion weeks in Milano, and red carpets at Venice Film Festival. There’s still so many aspects of Italy to discover, and I can do that much of that right here in NYC at Eataly NYC Flatiron. Italians really understand the art of living, loving, and indulging. What really makes Italy a special place for me is the love for food. When I think of an Italian dinner party, I think of rustic long wood tables covered in greenery, fresh fruits, and a ton of wine. To me, there certainly is no greater love than the love for food.

I walk you through 3 of my favorite spots inside Eataly NYC Flatiron that always keep me coming back for more:

A NEON POP | SCHUTZ SHOES

Shoes: Schutz

We have been having bursts of spring sunshine this month, inspiring me to liven up my wardrobe with some color. Adios all black winter ensembles! I am so ready for color, color, and more color. Schutz is currently focusing on a major neon pop trend that I am in love with. Highlighter yellow. Hot pink. Lime green. Take these bandana print seashell sandals for example. I look down and suddenly imagine myself on holiday by a beach somewhere tropical. Bopping around the city’s park will have to do for now. Sometimes I just need this subtle pop of neon to bring my look to life. I like my neons best with gorgeous silk nudes, soft yellows, and pale pinks. Keeping the rest of your look simple and clean is the key to keeping the neon trend chic and elevated. But then there is also the very eclectic part of my style that would totally pair these sandals with a cropped neon sweatshirt and wide-leg trousers. I’m currently in pretty and effortless spring mode as I shed my layers, so elegant mules and soft dresses will have to do. How are you embracing neon this spring?
