THE FEARLESS DRAMATIC SIDE HIP

Now this a side cut-out design to talk about. It’s new, elevated, and super sexy. And yes, you can still wear undies with it thank goodness! Mulberry England sure knows how to va-va-voom up a simple ribbed maroon dress. This was shot back in Cannes. I’ve spent quite some time in the South of France this summer and it’s been divine. I know exactly what to pack in about 10 minutes. My travel go-to’s have easily become giant earrings, slip-on dresses, and a good mule sandal. Forget the curling iron, and put your hair in a messy bun. That’s the beauty of summer. With the heat and the sun, you sort of become forced to be comfortable in your own skin. You suddenly want to whip out that mini skirt and bare backed tank, without anything holding your confidence back. There’s one word to describe how I feel in this dress and that is: fearless.

This year so far has been insane and sometimes I have to stop and pinch myself and think “is this real life?” A lot of what I do from traveling, meeting new people constantly, finding inspiration, and coming up with new ideas really comes from finding that fearlessness inside of me. That ability to say, “I can do this.” I think a lot of success and happiness comes from within… being secure in your own skin. It’s okay to get a little crazy and it’s okay to let your freak flag fly. I do it all the time. My latest trip to Singapore proved just that. I met a group of absolutely wonderful people and made amazing new friends. Together we laughed uncontrollably and joked at the stupidest things, and that’s what I’ll remember most (besides the delicious food of course). I was so jet lagged I nearly face planted into my food, but I didn’t care if anyone judged me. We had FUN. It’s important to let loose, drop all judgements, and have fun in an industry that sometimes feels so serious. I’ve learned everything in life comes easier when you just don’t sweat the small stuff and live a little. So I guess today’s word is fearless. Fearless in your own skin. I’m already thinking up a time I can whip out this dramatic side hip at the next party because it’s just sooooo fire.

FRESH NEW BEDDING FROM KASSATEX New York

I like my bedroom to be super minimal with a combination of whites and grey. This soft color palette really helps me rest each night. I like to invest in amazing bedding because it just makes me feel so good as I tuck myself to sleep each night! A gorgeous well-made bed really is something to put the time and effort into. I just spruced up my bedding with the amazing Kassatex New York. Founded in 1999 right here in the Garment District of NYC, Kassatex has a love for creating chic, luxury bed and bath products inspired by the classic and sleek NYC style. It’s superior comfort that is casual, affordable luxury. I went with their beautiful Mercer bedding. I fell in love with this clean waffle design. This cotton and linen combination creates a texture that instantly makes a simple white bedding, not so simple. Plus, the more pillows, the better! I topped off my set with a gorgeous baby alpaca throw in light grey and charcoal. It’s so important to invest in a good night’s sleep. I travel so much that I count on a good 8 hour sleep every night to get me through a jam packed day, or early call time. I like the feeling that little luxuries, like a brand new bed set, can bring. Kassatex New York is a believer in high quality bedding…and trust me, I’m all about high quality sleep. Take a little peek inside my NYC loft.

A POP OF PINK IN LA CONDESA | Mexico City

My grandfather is from Mexico City and I’ve always dreamt of finally visiting and being in touch with my father’s culture. This is a large city with so much history and of course, so many people! I have never walked so much in my entire life. Flat leather sandals were my best friend this trip. Traveling a city by foot is truly special. I stopped at just about every candy colored wall and snacked at just about every single taco stand when I had the chance. My tastebuds were going wild for everything sweet and spicy. A friend did recommend taking a quick break for a cool drink at Hotel Condesa DF. This adorable boutique hotel felt a lot more like a sunny hot spot off Sunset Blvd in Hollywood more than anywhere else. Think teal green walls and cow-printed seats. My love for spaces and architecture and interior design is growing the more I travel. I’m currently craving the hotel’s green lush covered walls complete with a beautiful sun roof. A girl can dream. La Condesa is one of the most fashionable and beautiful neighborhoods of the city. I went with dramatically bold colors and silhouettes. Even with the heat, it’s possible. Voluminous sleeves and a skirt with loads of movement is always the way to go. I think Mexico City doesn’t get the credit it deserves. It’s history and culture and love for food and music transcends so many places I’ve been to.

THE SCARF DRESS BY MONSE

I’ve completely fallen head over heels in love with this Monse scarf dress. For some reason, it reminds me of hot summers on the Italian coast. The orange. The sunflowers. The way it’s neckline flows with the wind. Here I took it this lovely piece out for an afternoon out east at Macari Vineyards, a local spot during our Shopbop #StyleHigh kickoff. Dylana and I have always taken our summer dresses seriously. Silk…velvet… we love it all. I lean towards a romantic statement piece for just about every special occasion. I always go for a piece that tells a story. And can you believe it, one of the #SUAREZSISTERS is officially a newly wed?! I have never seen my sister so happy in my entire life. She’s found her person and we’re ecstatic!! We’ve been celebrating all week post-wedding. Now I get to share my other-half with her other-half, but it works out for the absolute best. I love seeing our family (#TeamSuarez) grow and grow! The summer has already brought so much love and opportunities to whip out the beautiful dresses. I can’t wait to see what’s next.
