4 NIGHTS AT THE AMBASSADOR CHICAGO HOTEL

My favorite part of traveling is getting to thoroughly enjoy every hotel I’ve stayed at. I recently stayed at the Ambassador Chicago during Pitchfork Music festival, and absolutely loved it. The moment you walk into it’s stunning lobby, you’ll get the feeling that this building has played an important role in Chicago’s history. The Ambassador has been an iconic property in the city since 1926, hosting some of the most well-respected names in film and music from the 20th and 21st centuries. I couldn’t help but stare at the black and white images of Frank Sinatra, Liza Minnelli, and Judy Garland over at it’s famous restaurant, Booth One. The hotel stays true to it’s rich history, but with an exciting and brand new renovation. The new Ambassador Chicago now feels modern, but still has that classy and vintage feel, inspired by it’s Jazz Age heritage. You’ll notice large white pillars, sparkling chandeliers, and stunning white accents in the decor against dark wooden ceilings. The lobby is dark and cozy, perfect for a round of drinks with the team, while the rooms feel bright and airy, especially in our loft suite. Imagine extra large windows, gorgeous white shades, a super spacious living room. I think my favorite part of our lovely stay was getting to enjoy the Gold Coast area. The hotel is nestled in the most luxurious residential area, just a few short blocks to Chicago’s Michigan Avenue (yes, I couldn’t help but pop into the Chanel store). I could just walk around of hours, peeking into neighboring mansions, drooling at all of it’s beauty. I’ve been to Chicago a few times before, but this trip beats any other. I think staying at a place that tells the iconic stories of Chicago so well, made it all the more special.

PHOTOGRAPHED FOR THE OUTNET PART 2

Summer seems to be going by in a flash. I just wrapped up my latest work trips to Singapore and Chicago, and I am ready to spend some time at home, in New York. I have officially conquered all that was left of my jet lag, and now, I can really enjoy what is left of my summer before September travels start to creep up on me. I’ve needed a break from traveling so I intentionally planned my August to be one spent locally. I spend my weekdays in the city, with sunny Saturdays and Sundays out by the sea. The only reason to pack my duffel bag is for quick getaways to Montauk where I can surf Ditch Plains, shop at the farmer’s market, or simply go out dancing with my gal pals.

Take a peek at what a perfect wardrobe out east looks like, all of which I captured in PART 2 of my photoshoot for The Outnet. For this shoot, I wanted to celebrate all of the colors that make my summer feel alive. Think popping satin pink and bold tangerine orange. I also made sure to fit in my essentials: the All-American striped one-piece and the romantic eyelet white dress. But your eyes might head to the accessories, because they are va-va-voom! These Stella McCartney star platforms sure bring the glam to the down-to-earth streets of Montauk. The Outnet has managed to exceed my expectations when it comes to timeless, designer items that will live on from summer to summer like majorly sexy dresses by Dolce & Gabbana and adorable Maison Michel sun hats. Now which eclectic look do you love most?

THE SHOEBOX SHOULDER BAG | STUART WEITZMAN

I can spot this Stuart Weitzman blue hue from a mile away. It’s a gorgeous and bold color you can’t really find anywhere else. When I rock a blue, I like to keep everything a bit tonal like a denim jacket and matching pant, with easy slides. Meet the new shoebox shoulder bag by Stuart Weitzman. It is completely inspired by their classic shoebox packaging. This structured bag is a new and modern piece that really works with just about everything. It’s striking yet versatile. I like to say it’s my mini weekender…roomy enough for all the necessities, yet comfortable enough to carry around day in and day out. I was out for a friend’s birthday brunch in the East Village and a laidback downtown look like this one should require zero thought. Go for your best denim and blues and call it a day. Comfort here is key. That means, having a bag that can literally carry it all. Stuart Weitzman always pushes the boundaries with their sleek designs in supreme leathers that stay so true to their heritage. Now I’ve got a bag to match my shoe collection.

IN MONTAUK FOR THE OUTNET PART 1

Photograhped by Dylana Lim Suarez for The Outnet

I created a bunch of swoon-worthy looks for my latest shoot for The Outnet! Every piece is to die for. I gravitated towards bold colors, interesting silhouettes, and insane prints. The Outnet is luxurious to the max and their selections of clothes are so highly curated that every time you hit the site, there’s something outstanding. Pieces you can’t find anywhere else. I played around with some of my favorite designers here for Part 1 of our story: Rosie Assoulin, Haider Ackermann, and Marni to name just a few! Montauk will always be one of my favorite shooting locations. There’s nothing better than the open road and a quiet beach. This shoot was shot by my sister Dylana of course. She always creates soft, stunning images and I feel the most comfortable behind her lens.  With her, every shoot flows easy. We bounce ideas off each other, we get the light juuuust right, and most of all, everything feels more shiny when we’re together. With this shoot, we had the freedom to create anything we pleased…and with the most dreamy wardrobe. Sent in from London, our looks on set were brilliant. I’ve got you covered for just about everything you need for summer Fridays and weekends out East in the Hamptons. I say metallic blazers and high waisted silk skirts paired with nothing but a black bralette, monochrome twin sets, and the 90’s inspired sporty one-piece. Last but not least, finish it all off with an extra large sunhat to beat the heat. Which look is your favorite?
