Oh bare legs, how I miss you so!! Before the brutal 30 degrees, I was still rocking leather minis and sneakers like no other. I dressed down this perfect leather mini shipped straight from the UK (thank you Baukjen!) with my favorite pair of sneakers, and a trust bomber jacket. Sporty luxe. Pops of orange always look best with dark olive tones. Shot here after dashing from Manahttan to Brooklyn on a weekday, you can count on me to show up frazzled with disheveled hair, quickly applying that last minute swipe of plum lipstick. Luckily, those sweaty days on the subway are gone, but sadly, so are rooftop sunbathing sessions in your bikini. You’ll find me with my face ducked inside a turtleneck from now on thank you very much! Until California…

I have officially found the perfect fringed little black dress thanks to the lovely Cynthia Vincent. The delicate black fringe made for twisting and turning. Stevie Nicks style. Black on black perfection. Speaking of which, it’s BLACK FRIDAY. Anybody doing some major shopping? I can’t wait to hit 5th avenue in search of a perfect pair of Saint Laurent boots, and HOPING that my favorite thrift stores are open this holiday weekend. I feel I need a little vintage re-vamp at the moment. Still totally full from last night’s friendsgiving filled with broccoli risotto and mac n’ cheese casserole. I cannot wait to walk the entire city for that much-needed holiday excersie! Ha! Now take a peek below at my bandit attire, and shop my black friday must-haves.

Thanksgiving for me is the best time to reflect. Sometimes I think…how is this all real? Then, I think of all the obstacles and challenges that have made me into a strong person that I am, and feel so incredibly grateful for everthing that life has thrown my way. Another year more mature, and another year wiser. Today is just another reason to live life to the fullest. To see only the good in the world, and to cherish those special people and places worth loving. Thankful for my sunrises, and my beautiful gold sunsets. Thankful for the glistening Hudson River that I get to awake to every morning. Thankful for life and breath. Thankful for the ocean, always there to listen to my thoughts. Thankful for this wonderful city of NEW YORK, for standing by me…believing in me, and taking in this California dreamer at just a naive 20 years old with just a small suitcase, and allowing her to grow into a real woman. Appreciating those beautiful people that will take your hand and lift you, even when you feel like you’re falling. My sister, my mother, my father, and my friends. I’m thankful for YOU too. For encouraging me to grow, and giving me that constant push to reach for the highest of stars. Never letting go. Listening and watching as I’ve shared my tales all of these year. It’s exciting to be a part of your life. You guys inspire me most of all! What would I do without all of you OFF DUTY babes?! Here is all positivity, and that’s how it’ll always be. There’s no room for anything else. Now, I’m most thankful that I have the freedom to be myself. One who lives by her own rules, dreams the wildest of dreams, embraces her imperfections, makes visions reality, and sings to her own tune. With you guys, I feel I can do anything. The strength to create magic and never let go of what I was meant to do. I’ve gone full circle. Whole.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Never lose appreciation for what makes you happy. It’s only up from here.
I just modeled for the latest Anna Sui collection, and fell so deeply in love with every single piece on set. Every one of her prints like out of a colorful pyschadelic universe…full of rockstars. It’s all very VELVET UNDERGROUND yet has Anna’s quirkiness. This dip-dyed fringed midi dress an absolute dream. It’s blue/green tint always catching the sun and glistening. Long gone are the days for bare shoulders and open backs, but I still manage to pull it off with some layers. This Theonne plaid jacket one of my winter staples, dressing down this eclectic piece.
Inbetween fittings and last-minute meetings today, I’m gearing up for the ultimate FRIENDSGIVING. One of my very first Thanksgivings away from home. We’re thinking whipping up some yam potatoes, and baking my very first homemade pie. EEKS. I’ll keep you posted.
