FOXY PRINTS

I fell for the revealing one piece, and TINY Jimi Hendrix inspired minidress. All I need is a banjo and top hat to transition this into night.  The dress, my new favorite. It’s so short, your legs look miles longer than normal, and the neck so high, I feel like I’ve landed in the vintage rock n’ roll Victorian era. But yes, I LOVE when my Montauk weekends roll around because I’m immediately packing my tote bag with bell-bottoms, rash guards, gold cuffs, and coral red lipstick. I just discovered MANY new swimmies in the last few days…UH-OH. How is that even possible?! Stay tuned for more KINI shots and more views of the never-ending serene beaches OUT EAST. We’re talking a sunsoaked 4th of July weekend!

My sister Dylana and I collaborated to create a special editorial just for YOU readers. This will for sure become a more regular thing for both our blogs! For me, I’m always in front of the camera…and it’s amazing, and so so necessary for me to work behind the lens as well. Creative direction. Dylana and I do it all, making our visions come to life. Here, we pay major HOMAGE TO THE GIRLS OF NYC. We had the best team. Taking a fresh faced model, the BEST hair and makeup babes I know, and took it to the streets. We embraced our gorgeous city of NEW YORK. The streets we constantly forget about it on our daily walks home (heads in our phone), the artwork we should pay more attention to, and and the sunsoaked city walls. All full of vibrant colors and life! Here in New York, everyday I run into a different girl. She could be downtown, up by Central Park, or DEEEP into Brooklyn. Each little corner of NYC, has THAT GIRL. Some days Dylana and I are more one girl than another. Either way, she’s an individual, she’s decadent, and she know’s what’s up. She isn’t afraid to walk down the street in worn out H&M sneakers and thousands of dollars worth of jewelry. It’s the mix that makes it acceptable. She’s the best salsa dancer in town. Give her a margherita and a good tune. Maybe she’s listening to music on the way to her cocktail party in Nolita….glammed up in a sheer twin set yet head-turning with a braided, edgy up-do. Maybe she’s traded in her heels for metallic sandals during sun down, letting her maxi graze the heated NYC streets. Whatever she’s doing, she’s DECADENT. We went over the top with our girls and decked each look with DANNIJO. Giving this down to earth babe the LUXE she deserves.

CIRCUS CIRCUS

I finally own the perfect TOP HAT. Think CIRCUS, but during high summer. All I need are lions, tigers, and bears…and a tight rope. That, and a little bit more shimmer. Thank you to Mr. Orlando at the Worth & Worth atelier for always making me the most killer custom hats. One to make the crowd go ROAR. This one is the Taly, and you too can rock n’ roll in this high crowned beauty. Best with a sequined mini (YES THOSE ARE SHORTS! THE BEST!) and your favorite muscle tank.

THE CHAIN

GIG SHACK:
I found this little spot on a rainy day in the town. I always go for the mango, blackened fish tacos, and seasoned carrots.

SHOP THE CHAIN GAME

My absolute favorite accessory is the chain belt. This vintage beauty was an old birthday present from the older sis. Best worn extra low on the hips, I let the click and clack of the coins and the pearls jingle as I walk. It’s heavy and honestly, the coolest piece EVER. I’ll intertwine it into my jeans, or denim cut-offs, but I like it slung across a lace maxi dress. Recently, I’ve been picking up the ol’ long black dresses, releasing my inner Stevie Nicks. The patchwork denim duster just the finishing touch. With the beach and Montauk, I’ve been keeping things extra comfortable. Normally you’ll find me in a bikini and flared pants. But for nights out at the Surf Lodge, you’ll find me slipping into my snake boots, and letting my hair down. Cheers to the first week of SUMMER.
