HUDSON JEANS // THE PERFECT PAIR photographed by Dylana Suarez
LOOK 1: This may be my absolute favorite look of all. Shot in the grittiness of the shoe factory, it’s been a main part of my workspace this past year…in creating the JETT collection and variety of styles that came with it. The energy there is so fantastic!! I decided to just shimmy my way into the Hudson“Sid Zipper Crop” jean paired with the blue snake boot. With just a navy blue cap and military vest, I couldn’t help but keep it as simple as that. Bare belly and all!
LOOK 2: Right when I get home, I like to slip into a sweatpant…but these are so good, and made for wearing out. I like them with a heeled bootie and a red baseball jacket. The heels give this sporty look a bit more edge.
LOOK 3: Rock n’ Roll, Hendrix! All I want is to go to Woodstock when I’m hidden behind these oversize round shades. Paired with a shimmering metallic feathered jacket and the comfiest moto jeans known to man, I could spend the whole night dancing. The white boot is a new favorite for me this year. It’s sleek enough to wear out to a party, yet wearable enough for a day working in the factory.

(All Saints “abbey” leather jacket, Rebecca Taylor sweater, SEA skirt avail at Barneys, Etnia Barcelona sunglasses, Camper boots, Vintage Chanel bag from Bella Bag, Erin Fetherston x JEWELMINT kitty ring)
It’s another bittery cold NYFW at the moment, and though I should be layering up in an extra long wool coat and beanie, I stepped out in nothing but an oversize leather jacket and midi skirt. Luckily for a chunky knit and sweater tights for not getting frost bite! I just got this sleek All Saints leather jacket and I’ve had nothing like it before. So unlike the majority of biker jackets, it’s got a boxy fit and completely collarless. I’m obsessed. The winter sun got me throwing on some blue frames in my handbag before heading out the door. Anyways, it feels like I’ve been starting my fashion week days at show over at Lincoln, and then of course, venturing out to the OFF-SITE shows…which always grab my attention. From BCBGMaxazria, a seaosonal must-see for me, to Creatures of Comfort, an incredibly cool and understated designer label that I’m currently swooning over.
BCBG had me wishing for a messy side-part, fur collars, and sweeping sheer skirts. Always classic, always complete with beautiful warm colors like camel, off-whites, and an unexpected pop of turqoise. Leather and fur…a texture match made in HEAVEN. All things for a NYC girl to snuggle up in that’s for sure.
And then there was Creatures of Comfort. The models like real creatures…their extra short blunt bangs, and messed up low ponytail…the look that it’s been slept in for a week. Complete with a dewy complextion and burgundy lip, the hair and makeup went so beautifully with these oversize layers. It’s the downtown girl to a T! Just everything I would wear. Layering turtlenecks under tanks, the killer top hats, the mixtures of colors. I so fell for the mixtures of plaid along with the emerald greens, navy blues, mixed with a pop of blush pink and warm rust reds. I’ll be a Creatures of Comfort girl anyday.

FARFETCH// New York City Girls// Photoshoot
Words by Rachel Waller, Photography by Mark Squires , styling by Roxane Danset, hair by John Ruidant, make-up by Bryan Zaragoza
It feels pretty amazing to be handpicked by Farfetch as one of their favorite NEW YORK CITY GIRLS. I’ve always loved a good classic, black and white portrait…and for our shoot, we did just that. Clean, pure, and simple! Snapshots you’ll hand on your wall till you grow old. Here, shot by Mark Squires in a Soho studio, I played around with our beautiful pale white palette on set. A super clean T by Alexander Wang shirt-dress, and an amazing pair of Calvin Klein wide-leg trousers. Shapees to wear for a lifetime, all so tailored to perfection. I love how they captures the more cleaned up version of my style. Sometimes sticking with the basics is all you really need in city life.

This Friday morning I’ll be covering one of my absolute favorite shows, ZIMMERMANN, for Oxygen’s THE FACE here at NYFW!  Oxygen and I have partnered together for NYFW to give you that insider’s peek at the industry and to provide my point of view as a NYC model while at Lincoln Center. It’s pretty amazing to be on the other side of it this season…taking a seat at the show while the craziness happens backstage! Zimmerman is an Australian designer label I’ve been coveting all year. I spent an hour in her Soho store…trying to find the perfect piece to wear to her show. After getting fitted in crop tops, gorgeous cut-out dresses, and bralettes, I ended up with this stunning striped jumpsuit with a gorgeous V-neck and ruched waist. With it’s bare chest, I will be piling on the jewelry. Nothing better than layering on a bohemian gold choker and long necklace, along with a bold cuff, statement rings…and of course, I’ll be trying to keep warm with a good ol’ leather jacket. The jumpsuit itself does all the talking!
There’s so much on the horizon this fashion week, but honestly, I cannot wait for the new season of THE FACE! As a model, I’m so drawn to it. I still can’t believe I’ve been modeling for over 8 years! From starting off doing runway, to print editorials around the world, to finally landing those huge campaigns where you see your face at every mall… and in every magazine. But of course, it comes with MAJOR challenges, competition, and many hours on an airplace. There’s of course the good, bad, and the ugly hehe! Because guess what?! Becoming the new face in town doesn’t just happen overnight. You’ve got to pay your dues, gain confidence, and just believe in yourself throughout all the madness. I was only 15 when I was thrown in front of the camera…just a schoolgirl who loved to get dressed in all sorts of crazy ways before going to castings. I guess that’s what helped…learning to really stand out from the pack, because honestly, it’s not just about looks. The show, THE FACE, gives you the completely inside peek into the fashion industry as three teams of aspiring “modeltestants”, each led by a supermodel coach, are guided through real life assignments, including photo shoots and commercials. Can you say NAOMI CAMPBELL?! It’s pretty amazing to see how a model can grow with just a little bit of advice from the experts. The models will be exposed to the biggest and most influential names in the industry, or who they like to call FaceMakers, who appear throughout the show to help judge and lend their expertise. In the end, only one girl will be chosen to become ‘The Face’ of Frédéric Fekkai’s 2014 national ad campaign. Basically, it’s a model’s dream come true! I can’t wait to really peek into these girl’s worlds…I know what they’re going through!
