70’s SUNLIGHT

(Artisan De Luxe denim jacket, Cuyana scarf, Citizens of Humanity dress, Giles + Brother railroad cuff, Camper boots, Chloe pink handbag, Warby Parker “Griffin” sunglasses)
I feel like I’ve been on a 70’s kick since I picked up this amazing denim jacket designed by Philippe Naouri, friend and KILLER designer behind Artisan De Luxe! Their new store on Crosby Street still remains one of my favorite places to stop by whenever I’m downtown. Constantly, I’m inspired by their leather, the embroidery, and beautifully washed denim. And with the amazing NYC weekend, it’s been WARM WARM, and I love it. Just knee-highs, a minidress, and nothing else! Currently shielded by the sun with these rad Warby Parker oversize brown sunnies. I don’t know why, but they REALLY remind me of the 70’s! I love browns, light blue denims, and patent black chelsea boots all mixed into one look. All key staple pieces and colors currently in my closet. Maybe it’s because I’ve been listening to loads of Hendrix and The Stone’s “Exile on Mainstreet” that got me in this real groovy mood with my dressing lately. I like dancing in my apartment, giving my best Mick Jagger face.
Tomorrow, I’m OFF to the snowy mountains for a not-so-secret getaway. And it’s bound to be a snowy Christmas adventure. Filled with wooden log cabins, heavy knit scarves, and moccasins by the fireplace. Holiday, don’t end just yet.

MARC JACOBS DAISY// IN MY STOCKING

(Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau de Toilette Perfume)
I’m loving New York City at the moment. The shops constantly packed, the side streets damp from the snow. I’m in such holiday mode. Spent much of the weekend gift shopping in Soho, trying to avoid the slippery cobblestone streets! Anyways, I’m currently wrapping all of my last-minute gifts. The Marc Jacobs DAISY parfum being my #1 stocking stuffer. All of my friends use mine when they come over…so I thought, I may as well gift each one of my pals a beautiful bottle of DAISY! And it helps when the package is the most adorable thing in the whole wide world…the scent so fresh for any time of year. I love tying a little mistletoe around each bottle…making it extra special. Happy holidays everyone! I can’t wait to see what’s inside your stockings!

SNOW SOLDIER

(Lauren Moffatt dress, APC coat, French Connection faux fur scarf, Worth & Worth “NATALIE” hat, GAP leather gloves, SOXIETY cashmere socks, BC Footwear creeper shoes, Chloe handbag)
Gosh, this day was literally one of my favorites. Who knew a California native like me would totally be head-over-heels, HAPPY HAPPY, in LOVE with the NYC snow? When it’s a snowday, I prep myself. I don’t wear snow boots, I wear creepers. (As long as they have grip right?!) I won’t wear the usual beanie, I wear my very own navy blue chapeau hat. There’s so much to love about the snow and yes, I love getting dressed for it in unexpected ways. Right now, all I really need are these cashmere socks and a killer knit dress. Lauren Moffatt, you really do no wrong. I left my apartment early that morning, planning a perfect Saturday in Bushwick with Dylana. I was walking down Bleecker Street when the snow just began falling. I couldn’t stop taking pictures. Glove off, cell phone in hand…snapping away. Once I got to Brooklyn, it felt as if a heavenly pillow landed on the ground. Everywhere was white, all in that 15 minutes I was on the train. Bushwick was quiet that evening, and we snuck into the back of the bar at Tutu’s…a hot cider calling my name. Exactly where we went photobooth crazy. Those are some of my favorite little snapshots. I’m forever keeping those tacked onto my wall. Christmas time doesn’t get any better than this.

REVLON PHOTOREADY// POP-ART PALETTE

Revlon Photoready Primer, Shadow + Sparkle palette in “Pop Art”
(shot for nymag.com’s THE CUT)

With the REVLON PhotoReady, Shadow+ Sparkle “Pop Art” palette, I fell in love with the shadow combination. A bold and bright emerald green shimmer, paired with a swipe of deep brown for a dramatic effect, and of course, a beautiful subtle gold finish. Green, brown, nude, and that pop of gold. Colors that blend so unexpectedly perfect. For me, I’m all about color. Sometimes I’m all about a bold red shoe..or like here, a bright yellow blouse. Even my apartment is covered in out-of-this-world art. Splattered home-made paintings and cut-out collages made by friends. It really did all started with the Campbell’s Soup Can. Andy Warhol’s masterpiece was all the art I knew when I was a kid. Then there was the extra bright portrait of Marilyn Monroe with the green eyeshadow and lemon yellow hair in neon lights. The Revlon “Pop Art’ palette reminds me of all of things, and I love getting to incorporate that look into my own colorful personal style.
