White as Snow

(Juicy Couture sweater, Vintage shorts, Rebecca Minkoff handbag, Sole Society brogue// $20 off with code: NATALIE20 till 12/15 see more on Cyber Monday)
It’s Monday morning and yep, another start to a crazy week. I don’t even know where to begin. From getting things ready for my next DKNY photoshoot tomorrow to arranging plans for our upcoming east and west coast Modern Vice shoe events, I’ve got a lot of things going on in my head. All I know is that all my work has to be done before I’m off to LA and San Francisco. So with all the craziness, I’m normally all decked out in dark easy layers, but lately, I’ve decided to go the pastel route. A white sweater, black tights, and my palest of shoes…a baby pink suede brogue from Sole Society.  Yep, I’m diggin this new brand, especially for little flats for running around the city. Plus, they were under 50 bucks, or more now with Cyber Monday 🙂 Everything about this reminds me of my time in Paris. I will always love the pure simplicity of the French! It’s just a little something I slipped into as my sister and parents dragged me out for an early breakfast. It’s true! The Suarez’s are IN TOWN and though we sometimes get at each other’s necks, I couldn’t be happier. I finally got to meet my Australian cousin all while the mum n pops, here from California, are barely handling the East Coast cold! Sometimes you just gotta be the tour guide.

Mountain Girl

Forever and ever I’ve been looking for a shearing coat, and thanks to my Cali friends at Citizens of Humanity, I scored this amazing piece that didn’t even hit the store shelves. I’m obsessed. I had just came home to my visiting parents carrying tons of bags and gifts from my recent travels and believe me, my hair was all over the place and I looked like a total mess. Thank goodness this weekend, between all the long dinners and get-togethers, I’ve been getting a bit more sleep. They called me a bag lady mountain girl. But come on, it’s cozy and I’m a huge fan of these brown and reddish vintage prints…oh, and I’ll do anything for a sick pair of boots. I love the metal toe and heel to these Pamela Love x Nine West booties. That higher chunky heel gives that heavy stomp I love on the pavement. Even my boyfriend, the shoe man, can’t take his eyes off them! I’ll make it up to him by wearing a JETT or so later today!

Oh, and don’t forget! A little secret to where I find some of my favorite vintage finds… it’s Nifty Thrity! To shop the warehouse, join here

LIMITED EDITION: Biking with the Tuscan Benni Boot!

Biking with the Tuscan BENNI Boot!

What I love most about working at the NYC Modern Vice factory, is getting to go in and create something completely new and different every single day. It’s only fun if we do something crazy once in a while isn’t it? This time, we took our classic “Natalie + Dylana Suarez x Modern Vice” BENNI boot, and went the hippie route with a multi-colored calfskin…and voila, our “Tuscan Benni.” We only made 12 of these babies, and their only on sale today and through Cyber Monday! For me, I’d take these bad boys out to Woodstock on my Electra Bike in skinnies, an oversize shearling coat, hat, and loads of turqoise jewelry.

Metal Toes

(Vintage blazer, Nifty Thrity velvet tunic, Seven For All Mankind Skinnies, Rebecca Minkoff bag, Junim necklaces, Sigerson Morrison shoes)
Between all my travels overseas for work, I did get to spend just a few days in NYC…and luckily, I made it home just in time for Thanksgiving. My sister, my parents, and my boyfriend all got in the car, en route to his family’s place for one big feast. I love getting to be around all the family craziness. Turkey, cake, and adorable grandmas clutching balloon animals! I honestly couldn’t stop smiling. There’s so much to be thankful for, I don’t even know where to begin. All I know is that by the end of the night, I was passed out in the car on the way back to Manhattan, full on turkey and wine. I’m slowly still trading in my swimsuits and tie-dyed dresses for velvet, wool blazers, and of course, some metal toes. These Sigerson Morrison brogues are the epitome of badass menswear with a touch of luxe. I love getting to come home to some beautiful little gifts. Anyways, I was so ready for the giant bear hugs from the parentals and the crazy sis after being overseas working for so long! I’m off now for another day kick starting our lazy holiday weekend.
