So Much Denim

(Volcom tank, Minkpink jeans. Saint Claude necklace, Wanderlust+Co bracelets, Vanessa Mooney rings)

Okay, have to admit, was a teeny tiny bit inspired by the old Calvin ads with Brooke Shields when I was in these jeans. Extra high-waist, super flare, and just so coool. I’m all about the denim and so paired it with a simple striped tank that I actually attacked with scissors to make into a crop top. Nothing more is needed when spending a day in Dylana’s crazy house in Fishtown…taking up the entire couch (which could really have been plucked from an old western film) and endlessly watching DVD’s.

TO CHICAGO: Rad+Refined Summer Launch Party

I will be flying to Chicago this Friday, not only for work, but also to attend the Rad+Refined Summer Launch party at the Market Bar Chicago Rooftop! I’m stoked as I’ve worked closely with the shop for some time now. They really are a mix of California cool with a little city edge thrown in. Now, who’s from Chicago?! I’m ready to hit the dance floor…and get a little crazy. Dylana will also be flying out with me! Suarez sister sandwiches for all!

This event is open to the public so RSVP right HERE (everyone get’s a plus one) or email: rsvp@radandrefined.com
I cannot wait to meet all of my Chicago readers in person! It’s going to be well, pretty rad.

In Studio with REVLON

Getting up extra early for work is so worth it when I’m working with the iconic beauty brand, REVLON, along with Glamour magazine. I showed up to the set feeling very goth in an all black look, a velvet kimono, and copper choker. This always happens when it’s gloomy and wet outside. Turns out, I did end up getting a very sultry, dark look with a jade green smokey eye. Our shoot continues today here in the city and I’m excited to see what my next makeup look will be today.

Hand-me-downs

I feel like whenever I’m in Philly to visit Dylana, I always come home with an extra tote, filled with all of her unwanted hand-me-downs. I scored big this time as I made my way through her Evil Twin package. It consisted of one giant box with all sorts of super duper short frocks, including this beautiful tie-dye number. The jade green is my absolute favorite color and already, I’m craving more of this brand’s summer pieces. For some reason, Dy’s wardrobe brings out the tie-dye and bead-draped hippie in me. Being the little sister isn’t so bad now is it? So yeah, the heat is on, and all I feel like wearing are tiny dresses, a great pair of boots, and a messy bun. It’s no surprise that I always go for easy, colorful styles on the weekends. Our nights were spent with friends, dancing at the bar, and getting chased down by a drunk 60 year old man (yikes!) while days were filled with sleepy walks around Center City, wondering how the strangest things always happen to us. Philly, can you get any weirder? I still love you anyway.
