Launch of Rebecca Minkoff for Vogue Eyewear CFDA Sunglasses

I am super excited to announce the launch of the Rebecca Minkoff for Vogue Eyewear CFDA sunglasses! I feel so lucky to get to work with Rebecca on this cool project and have been dying to finally get to show you these shades. The sunglasses, inspired by the rock n’ roll history of The Bowery, are so my style. Getting to represent the NYC girl to rock these shades is a total dream come true. The shades have a bit of a cat eye and some really amazing metal details. Talk about perfection! I got to give these babies a test drive as I spent the day out with Rebecca. Together we explored all her favorite spots, each of which I fell in love with. We met up at the quirky, yet totally charming coffee shop, The Smile, and from there walked to a local floral shop. Being so new to New York and getting to visit these hole-in-the wall joints really opened my eyes to how much the city has to offer. To end our relaxing day out and about in The Bowery, she took me to her favorite art gallery. Everything was just so amazing. I can see why all of these little places inspired her to design the sunglasses for Vogue Eyewear. SO city chic! Watch the video as Rebecca Minkoff and I take on lower Manhattan! Rebecca, being pregnant, still looked so radiant and beautiful, having so much energy to take me around town 🙂

The sunglasses will be out on September 29th at Sunglass Hut!!

Spray Painting with Emily Cho Handbags

A peek into Spring ’12!

The Emily Cho design duo acting silly in Sherel’s hats!

I made a visit to Coterie earlier this week to visit my good friends Emily and SJ of the handbag label, Emily Cho! Coterie is basically the Vegas Magic Trade Show of NYC. I love how crazy fun these girls are! When I arrived, they were already experimenting with SPRAY PAINT, and omg, never have I ever thought I’d have so much fun! We basically took the handbags and started mixing colors and getting downright silly. I even took the stuff to sign their booth with. How cool is that? I’ve always been a huge fan of Emily Cho ever since I started sporting this gorgeous handbag earlier this summer. Their folded clutches are so stunning and unique. The shape gives any look a cool, edgy look. I’m currently lusting over their oversize folded clutches. A clutch that can actually accommodate things is pure genius! I’ve also just started carrying that bright yellow squared handbag from the Spring ’12 collection during NYFW. It grabs the attention of so many people when I wear it. More photos to come! For now, enjoy this insane spray painting session. And yep, we moved on to completely destroying (I mean, personalizing) Emily’s jeans!

NYFW: Lincoln Center

(American Apparel romper, Vintage Calvin Klein Skirt from La Bella Vintage, Rebecca Minkoff bag, Pour La Victoire shoes, Milor Italy rings, Ax + Apple necklace)

I absolutely loved attending the shows at Lincoln Center. It’s been my first time ever in NYC for fashion week and guess what? I SURVIVED. Everything from the crowds to the massive amounts of photographers was a bit overwhelming, yet still totally exciting. Here I am snapped just after the Nicole Miller show! The collection was amazing. I loved the upbeat music and models clad in looks of all colors of the rainbow. The whole show just had a really fun and fresh vibe. I loved how neon was used in the collection, and the way Nicole played around with a lot of different prints. That really helped give off a young cool attitude that was so much my style. I loved it! As for my outfit selection, I decided to take it up a notch and get a little dressy. I’m still obsessed with this Calvin Klein skirt. Because it’s totally sheer, I wore a romper underneath it. Not exactly bathroom friendly, but it did the trick. And check out my new Rebecca Minkoff studded shoulder bag? It’s got a classic yet rock n roll vibe. OBSESSED. I love a classic neural look with some hard edged accessories.
