Too Much Fun Getting Dressed

(Modcloth Sweater, 80’s Purple tee, Vintage skirt and bag, Salvatore Ferragamo flats)

I’ve been playing around with everything in my closet lately trying to keep things fresh. Instead of staying simple like I normally do during the week, I decided to throw a few different prints and textures together. And here you have it, what I came up with. My mom ran into me as I was heading out the door and she was like “wait, you’re going out like that?” and I said “psh YESH” under my breath in an annoyed-out daughter kinda way. It’s such a comfortable look and I can’t wait to wear it again even if it is slightly bagladyoffthestreetwhoforgottolookinthemirrorbeforeleavingthehouse.

As for what I’ve been up to, all I can say is things are crazy busy. I’m working nearly every single day next week. Not complaining by any means, I’m actually pretty excited. I’ve got some modeling and of course some fun blogging relating things going on that I can’t wait to share with you! I have a day off next Saturday, where I’m hoping to spend the day meeting up with all my favorite LA bloggers! It’s always so much fun when we get together because unlike most of my other friends, they LOVE taking pictures and don’t get scared when I whip out the camera. Even though I’ll be out and away from the computer most of the time, I’m going to try my very best to update the blog at night! Adios amigos. For instant updates, just follow me on Twitter! HAPPY WEEKEND!

Thrown Together

More images that have caught my eye recently. Effortlessly threw them together today for inspiration. What matters though, is the perfect mess in these photos. The tangled, straggly hair along with the whole “i’m pissed off and bored but beautiful” look. The artwork and one of the images was found off Sharon Gong’s website (she amazes me every time) and the rest were collected throughout the week while roaming the blog streets with my eyes half closed.

Under the Boardwalk

(Hallelu blouse, H&M skirt and sunglasses, Bally bag, Cole Haan boots)

After a fitting, I spent the rest of my evening on the westside, walking Main street in Santa Monica and the boardwalk of Venice Beach. It was so funny, I got recognized by a girl in a shop on Main street and she asked “why I look so familiar” haha. We ended up sharing stories about all the kooky characters out there in fashion. Hilarious! I love my readers. Overall, it was such a beautiful day to go out, laze around, and grab iced coffee! The weather has been in the 70s, 80s and it’s still the middle of the winter! Super freaky weather, but it feels incredible! Threw on my favorite blouse from my new blog sponsor, Hallelu! All of there pieces are so wearable and fun. I nearly flipped when I saw this top in the mail, only because I have this wild obsession with all things related to horses. Paired this fun printed top with a bandage fitting skirt. Simple and comfortable for an evening out and about!

que me pongo MANGO!

Here are behind the scenes images of my video shoot for my favorite Spanish brand, MANGO! The video won’t be out till March, but for now I am giving you just a little sneak peek! Everything from the fitting to the actual shoot was a total blast! The MANGO and Hunter & Gatti production team were so amazing and so much fun! They flew in all the way from Barcelona, Spain to shoot both Julie Sarinana of Sincerely Jules (who has become such a great friend of mine) and I in beautiful looks from their Spring 2011 collection. The collection is gorgeous and so fresh. There were a lot of beige, stripes, and pops of color! For the shoot, I picked out a flowing floor length dress in my favorite shade, cream. It’s bohemian yet classic, and just so me! I’m so happy that my sister, Dylana Suarez, had a day off work and was able to attend the shooting at the Nick Metropolis. Thanks to her, I have some amazing behind the scenes shots to remember my day with the incredible MANGO team! It was also awesome to get together again with the cute blogger babe that kept us company throughout the day, Jade Munson (who I previously worked with on a shoot). Gahhh, I cannot wait till the video launches. I even got to sing and play my guitar for MANGO. Such a dream and wonderful opportunity. Stay tuned for more behind the scenes images from our shoot on the MANGO blog, KEEP THE BEAT!! (Muchos besos to Cristian, Cristina, Carolina and everyone else for putting this together!)
